Can someone clarify one thing for me, is the "trial" version just the full Case Zero without the ability to save in it ? or is it a slice of Case Zero ?

Played this today, is it just me or does DR2 look worse than DR1 ? :p
I mean yeah the zombies on screen were a LOT, but DR 1 had ridiculously well detailed character models, where as Chuck and his daughter look very .. last gen ? compared to that.
Other than that, great fun, minor frame rate hitches aside it was good to play Dead Rising again.

Case Zero is an Xbox live arcade game. They probably had to downgrade textures and models a bit. Other than that I think the lighting is way better than in DR1.

Just finished this bad boy... My thoughts of it in the spoiler tag:
Spoiler:
Well worth the 400 points. If companies want to charge us for demos, this would be a great strategy. Why? Because you get a taste of the game to come, while delivering a short, yet enjoyable prologue that actually connects with the full game coming out.
Storywise I was expecting a little more connection with DR1, or at least some pointers of what happened after the Williamette outbreak. However I wasn't disappointed since you get some backstory of Chuck's character, who is as "like-able" as Frank was in my opinion.
Gameplay: After playing both Wii and X360 versions of the first one, I'm glad Blue Castle Games took notes about what and what not worked. A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT IN SURVIVOR'S AI THAT IS REALLY APPRECIATED. Those who got the "Saint" achievement from DR1 will definetly know what I'm talking about. I managed to save them all on my first run, and I hardly found myself in trouble doing so.
The skip option in dialogues is helpful, though I would prefered the game's pace to stop when entering a conversation like Wii's DR1.
Combo weapons are fucking sexy. The shotgun & pitchfork combo is brutal!
Yes it's a short ride (I finished it in 3 hours tops), but if you're a zombicidal maniac like me, you'll do more than one playthrough that's for sure. I got an ending A with Chuck & Katie escaping to Las Veg... err Fortune City, so I hope I get some "incentive" in Dead Rising 2. However I'll be happy if I get my combo cards and my current level + abilities... oh and that sexy black Cowboy hat. YEEEHAW!

Spoiler:
I thought case zero was a excellent tease of things to come, while having a seperate identidy with still creek. One of the joys for me was how fun the exploration was on trying to find the secret nooks and levels in the town. It honestly kept you tense when you first play though (and I died once in the hands of the undead) all the way with how little your health and speed is the first time. The combinations is a great addition to the zombie sand box, and Chuck Green is a great character to play, thanks to his relationship with his daughter.
Also glad to see they are sticking to the music formula like with the first game played out. End cut scene music score was fantastic with the zombie vibe too. Can't express this above.

Apparently it's from the official website, with an accompanying in-universe post about from the guy who took the photo
A blurry "photo" that's appeared on Dead Rising 2's Tape It Or Die blog shows the game's protagonist Chuck Greene getting a little help from a journalist who has been known to cover wars.
So, I go after him. But then I see some other dude. Vaguely recognized him. Maybe saw him at a party a few years back. Maybe a celebrity. Can't remember his name, though. Phil? Floyd? Regardless, he was fighting zombies, too. It was like Oktoberfest! But replace beer with zombies! And drinking with slaughter! It was like I'd died and gone to heaven.sigpic

http://kotaku.com/5635181/frank-west...-dead-rising-2Oh Yes, if it's on Tape It or Die, then it's official. Now the real question is if Frank's in the story or just co-op? Chuck & Frank would make a badass pair...
