Gran Turismo 5

So the new release date for GT5 is now November 24th (9 days). Hopefully they mean it this time instead of pushing it back again. Its been pushed back time after time (Gran Turismo Forever?) but this time I think it really is coming out this time.

Anyone else excited about this game? I hope I'm not the only racing fan on here.

I'm playing it with the Logitech GT Force Driving wheel. Racing games are so much better with a steering wheel than a standard controller.

They included Nascar yet the cars don't have roof flaps and your limited 16 players on grid, I would of rather taken a hit in graphics quality and had a larger grid on the plus side though this time they've added realistic weight to the cars the damage model looks like turd though compared to Grid. If you want a realistic sim your still better off playing rfactor or IRacing. Since GT2 i've become bored of the gameplay too there's no atmosphere and long races become monotonus the only replay value is fiddling with the tuning settings.

like i said on another website, Hot Pursuit is around the corner and this could give GT5 a runaround. GT5 better not disappoint because if it even slips once, then all these years waiting would have been wasted for someone. and there's already a lot of people who complain that the car list isn't anything refreshing, basically an improved GT4 list, even hating the fact that its just an inflated car list with so many of the same series of cars.

I can't wait to play this damn game. I've been waiting for this game for a year or so now. I actually just read that there is a track maker where you make your own tracks? Thats gonna be pretty fun but I have a feeling its a gonna be a bitch. I think i'll make do.

I'm all for NFS but there is no way in hell it will make a dent on GT5 trust me, People are nuts for this game series. I know at least 5 people just buying a PS3 this weekend just for that game. Now thats selling power.

considering that Hot Pursuit is a multi-plat title, it can easily outdo GT5. i find it funny from reading about Shift 2 Unleashed and not only having car deformation, but also track deformation. i have read and heard nothing about GT5 having track deformation. not that it bothers me, but after 5 years in the shithole, you'd think the cars would have enough going for them and concentration would be put else where.

True,, the damage in GT5 looks shit. I think its because the expensive car makers dont want to show their cars damaged for some silly reason.

I prefer to call it a track randomiser since it just takes into a account a few options then builds the track randomly, you can't plot a course

GT5 Prologue sold 5 million and it was basically a large demo.

I played every GT to this point with the exception of this one. I can't wait for it. My favorite car was always the Ford GT.

yeah, and how do you know there wasn't a few people out there who thought "oh, its gt5, lets buy it." *starts playing it* "what, that's all it is? this isn't gt5, this is just a stupid demo i had to pay for. what a rip.". wouldn't doubt if it happened.
