  • Current Xbox Arcade/PSN/Steam Sales

I've seen a number of decent sales on recently thought I'd start a thread to keep track of them. I only have a 360 really but no harm in mentioning Steam or PSN offers too if you see something of note let us all know eh?

Okay so there are a number of decent sales on right now including a very limited time one day only sale consisting of:

    TMNT:Reshelled for 160
    Splosion Man also 160
    Trials HD for 400
    Greed Corp for 160
    Halo 1 for 400
    and
    GTA:San Andreas for 400

Surely at least one of these is worth you M$

They have more up so check 'em out even some avatart stuff is reduced and some great games including the superb Monkey Island 1&2 and Portal:Still Alive, Serious Sam HD and Megaman 10 . . .

Just thought I'd pass the word about, incase you go on here but not on yer 360 . . .

Greed Corp was surprisingly addicting when I tried it out; surprised me more it would get to such a price.

Steam had some superb sales on over the weekend. I picked up Left 4 Dead 2 for £3.75 ($5.80), Supreme Commander 2 for £2.50 (£3.88) and the Orange Box for £4.75 ($7.38).

See, I even added what those are in USD. Isn't that nice of me?

As far as I know, PSN hasn't been too good for sales as of late. They need to bring down the price of Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype, then I'll get round to buying it.

Ever since PS3PSP minis appeared PSN game pricing has become a joke, they are selling thing that are often free as flash browser games for £2-6. Or can be found on mobiles phones for 50p.

Wow I guess i left this one to die eh? Well this weeks deal on Xbox is all aboutthe Zombies first pick for me was Crash Course for Left4Dead for only 240 points I heard it was short and not worth the regular 560 when compared to the other DLC and true enough at only two stages it was rather brief but I enjoyed it still need the Sacrifice for the first one though I bought it on L4D2

Zombie AApocalypse looks meh but is half price, herd good things about Dishwasher: Dead Samurai which is now only 400 points Boderlands zombie DLC is half price and they have The Passing for L4D2 for 240 points and some avatar items to cap it off . . .

Also a decent Activision 50% sale is up too including various COD maps Guitar Hero and Spyro and Crash Bandicoot so yeah . . .

I actually think this is a good thread idea, I'm also very tempted to sticky it. There's someone on Twitter called SavyGamer, who tweets sales and bargains that you might not have noticed, figured it might be a good idea to bring that sort of thing to this topic.

I don't use twitter but I'll take a look, thanks.

This weeks only offer is umm Plants Vs Zombies for 800 instead of 1200 nice bit of variety both in terms of number and compared to last week eh?

The Activision sale is still up though . . .

Week of January 24 – Dance Central:
Dance Central 4 song add-ons – 160 Microsoft Points for each song (33 percent off)
                Janet Jackson “Control”
                Sean Paul “Temperature”
                Ne-Yo “Because of You”
                Cameo “Word Up”

Week of January 31 – Get Wet!
Hydro Thunder Hurricane, 800 Microsoft Points (Save 33 percent )
Aqua, 400 Microsoft Points (Save 50 percent )
Hydrophobia, 400 Microsoft Points (Save 50 percent )
I suggest anyone who haven't got Hydro Thunder yet to consider jumping it. It was already well worth it on 1200 MS point tag it initially had and the DLC additions are neat.

Personally grabbing Aqua, since I was already considering grabbing it when it first came out (Can't remember why I didn't...).

Hydrophobia is a steal at 400 MS Points - especially after the massive Title Update it received recently, which applied plenty of changes to the gameplay, levels, cutscenes, engine and more.

Continuing on with publisher sales it's Rockstar and 2K on sale this week

Every DLC for BioShock 2, Red Dead, Mafia 2, Borderlands and even GTA IV's is all half price!

Again with zombies on sale these things are a dime a dozen eh? Between Borderlands Zombie Island for 400 and also included in this sale the Undead Nightmare Collection for Red Dead which is all the Red Dead DLC in a single pack! Granted it ain't half price but is down from 1600 to 1000. Now I cant say for the US but over here the stand alone disc retails for around £25 so thats well worth it. Minerva's Den is only 400 points for Bioshock2 and came highly regarded by some of my LIVE friends.

Also in the sale are San Andreas(600), Max Payne 1(600), Max Payne 2(600), Midnight Club:LA(500) Axel and Pixel(400) and the Misadventures of PB Winterbottom(400). There is also some avatar stuff but nothing major really . . .

By the way, I've mentioned this before on Twitter but I'd like to state it again - the pricing for Mass Effect 2 on the PlayStation Store is absolutely outrageous. They expect you to shell out almost £50 for the game (£48.99), when you can pick up the physical retail copy for close to £40.

Also, the sales on the PlayStation Store are laughable at best.

Considering grabbing the Red Dead Redemption DLC, even though I don't have the main game yet... but I suspect there might be some sort of GOTY-ish release of it soon, so I think I'll just hold on for that instead.

Bought Genral Knoxx's from Borderlands. It's a shame I can't play it because I got my Xbox flagged for being a cheap bastard... Time to buy another one and do things LEGIT. Buy original software boys and girls. I learned my lesson.
