Both Case Zero and Case West are stand alone and don't rely on you having access to Dead Rising 2.

Are the Skill Packs worth picking up? I'm torn between them and the previously pre-order-only-exclusive content for Red Dead (The War Horse/Gold Campaign Guns/Fast Dead-Eye-Regen outfit) . . .

EDIT:Amazon has a bit of a sale going too Dead Space 2 in particular is 64% off at £17.99 for us Brits probably just swap the £ for a $ for you Yanks and such . . .

Swap £ for $ and you'll also have to multiply by x1.6 or something.

Well colour me wrong eh? Although I did say "probably" . . .

Amazon.com "Great" Dead Space 2 Sale

I always assumed they ran the same deals across all regions and usually whatever we pay is always more like the way a Game on Demand in the Marketplace on 360 is $29.99 or £29.99 here, which on the exchange rate is no where near the same . . .

Anyway can anyone recommend these skill packs or what?

EDIT: Just checked Dead Rising 2 and On Demand it's $39.99/£19.99 WTF! They actually gave us a slightly better deal?! They seem to have fixed this one as most games now seem to follow the exchange rate New Vegas:$40/£25 etc I'm almost impressed (still more than buying them second hand/sale in a store though) . . .

Steam currently has an ongoing "EA Week" which started with the Dragon Age titles being sold at a reasonable price, around half price discounts for Dragon Age: Origins and the Awakening DLC. I'm not sure what games will follow but I'm expecting to see Mass Effect, Dead Space, etc. So if you're looking for some cheap purchases then keep an eye out for something you like this week.
