the previous trilogy did the same thing lol it was all too obvious and easy and what was shown in the demo is a very simple puzzle, don't assume that every puzzle will be this easy

Well with this there can never be a puzzle like the Midas puzzle and using the lead bars on the hand, the hand insta kills you, you usually have no reason to go near it unless you figure out it use and try it.
With this you just see it is part of the puzzle. No thought required at all. Just one example.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

It isn't nickpicking when any challenge of a puzzle is removed, you wouldn't even think to use the midas hand unles in your head you figured out the puzzle yourself, when it glows and screams "use this" it stops being a puzzle.
It isn't the only change based from that video as well as previews before it was shown the climbing has been changed to be streamlined and like Uncharted, TR did use to require timing on jumps/grabs, as well as actually aiming a jump well. Uncharted climbing is dumb as hell. Another classic TR staple gone.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

Yes, but then I already read previews of this demo so hardly a fair question or answer. If I didn't know and I was playing I wouldn't want a bright glow telling me to use them though.Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

The only thing that really stood out was the lard hanging platform the rest you figure and it looked easy right? Well you got a developer playing it LOL he already should know it like the back of his hand
Also hints don't equal easy read a preview of one Riddler puzzle in Arkham City the clue is there but it all depends on how you the player do it
What I'm saying is every puzzle looks easy when you see someone who knows what they're doing do it plus I'm sure it gets more complex as Lara evolves"Admit it, you're going to miss this ass" - Chloe Frazer

Some people are never going to be satisfied. Funny though with all this nitpicking and we've only seen a demo of the game and trailer. Not even really enough to make a fair judgement of the game.
I think just as much thinking will go into the game as the other games. In my experience, I saw the pieces of the puzzles and still had to figure out what the hell to do with them. If you play Tomb Raider games enough you know what to look for. This just highlights the different elements of the puzzle.
And if you didn't already notice, there were more than just the essential pieces highlighted. Not only the wood boxes were glowing, a bunch of the other junk was to. It looks like it's up to the player to figure out exactly what to do. And like Jill4EverSTARS, it was a developer playing, they know exactly what to do.

You do know that it is an OPTIONAL feature to use right? You could go through the whole game and not have to use it even once.Last edited by atlier00; 06-07-2011, 05:00 PM.

Weak defence, that is like when complaining of any games difficulty saying "You don't have to use your hands, it is optional, use your feet"Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
