This game is gonna be EPIC. I'm not saying nothing until tuesday for those folks who want to wait for release date, except that I am extremely disappointed by the fact that I had to re-do my Shephard's face after importing my ME2 save.

I did all of the sidequests once I got off the Citadel in the first game, I think I'm all good to do the extra crap in the third game by now.

Ha! I did it too... Problem with ME1 was that it felt you were doing the same mission, with slightly different parameters (assault mobile base/underground base/mine over and over again).

ME3 is well worth the wait, from what I've played. I can't wait to see what you guys/girls think of it.

This game is unreal. I'm about 4 hours in but I'm just overwhelmed with the nostalgia, production values and overall polish. Fantastic game so far. I also SQUEEEEEEE'd like a fanboy when one of the characters from the books showed up.

I have to admit that the whole experience between ME1,2 and what I've played from 3 has made it my favorite game series ever.

So far my 'Joel Shepard' import worked just fine, and more than met my expectations when I transferred my PS3 save into ME3.

So I now know that you need to play Galaxy at War MP to see Shepard "alive" in the ending (you need a effective military value of+5000 to see him alive)... That's great because I'm banned from XBL and I can't play my copy online. Great. I FUCKING HATE THINGS LIKE THIS. This is worse than adding MP achievements.

EDIT/UPDATE: Well it seems Shepard CAN live after the ending. Just saw some of the BIK files of the game, and they show it... A tiny video, but it's something

And I've been thinking how lame the endings are. So no matter what you did, your actions from ME1/ME2 didn't count for shit. I'm really, really disappointed. The game is fantastic. I loved the Tuchanka and Rannoch missions (this one was amazing, since I romanced Tali in ME2 and added a lot of depth to it). And all you get in the end is to choose between A) red laser B) green laser (if you manage to get enough war assets) C) blue laser in a ripoff generic ending, where Neo Shepard saves the whole galaxy freeing them from the Matrix... errr The Catalyst cycle. And we got no closure on these characters we've grown to love.

No chance for Shepard and love interest to have a happy life after the war? So what's the point in romance?

I have strong mixed feelings for this game. But the overall feeling is disappointment. The buildup was great, but then it fell hard.
Let's hope the next DLC will help remove this bad taste.

I just went to start the game and argh.

It's confirmed. The Mass Effect import option fucking hates me with a passion. Exact same problem as my ME1 -> ME2 import of Annette had, broken eyes. Remade her in ME2 to solve the issue, wasn't perfect but would do.

ME2 -> ME3 import, looked all perfectly fine.... Until I look at the cutscenes and see the EXACT. FUCKING. SAME. PROBLEM. AGAIN.

So, starting to mash the codes I got from the ME2 -> ME3 import and the variant I took the time to make, to solve the problem once again. *Sighs*
