This will have to be my top give great games of the year. 2011 is going to be hard to choose from out of how great the software lineup is for all platforms. It's great to be a gamer!

Heavy Rain and Fallout: New Vegas (PC)

that's pretty much it as far as 2010 games i enjoyed - Dante's Inferno could have been a little longer though and offer more unlockables. found BioShock 2 disappointing, Bayonetta was a good hack n' slash but not a great one, and MGS Peace Walker was just bleh. i still have to play DKC Returns, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Fable III, Halo: Reach, Red Ded Dead Redemption (PS3) and get SM Galaxy 2 when its cheaper (hah, like that'll ever happen).

2010 was a pretty dull year for me for what i played. hopefully i'll enjoy the other games i'll be gettin' to at some point.

Putting in 4-5 as just placeholders, really, since I honestly can't think of anything else I'd say was ZOMG THE BEST this year.

With #4-5 having rock solid gameplay, #3 featured just a level of customization and replay value (with rewards and alterations) that just about almost any game out there should gaze upon with envy (and the game itself is pretty awesome. Naysayers just suck), #2 reminded me of what was lost when every single game started taking itself too seriously and #1 is by far the title that has the most impact on me since ... I dunno ... Silent Hill 2?

Personally, I found 2010 to be a year full of games that fell short of their hype, so a list beyiond #1 was hard to put together. Still...

5. God of War III
4. Alpha Protocol (still don't see how it was a so-called "half-finished" game as I didn't run into more than three glitches the whole time I played)
3. Alan Wake
2. Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Editon (Yeah, I'm cheating a little there, sue me)
1. Mass Effect 2 (I don't agree that it's better than the original, but it was still the best game of 2010 and damn good at that)
