Whatever happened to "keep it simple"? Have you noticed that they literally (and not just Square) load tons of detail on the characters and backgrounds? For christ sakes. Too much detail is never a good thing. Compare the latest generations of Pokemon with the original ones. I think the original 150 were excellent. The rest of them are just shit. It's like "Let's add detail wherever we can add it." Put a ring around the eye, that doesn't really need to be there. Yet the original 150 Pokemon were simple and cool at the same time. I feel the same thing about these newer Final Fantasy games. Keep it simple. You don't have to load the uniforms up with a million different lines and metals.

If they have the processing power, why not? I like Vanille's outfit, it's very colorful.

And yes, the original 150 Pokemon are still the best, but that doesn't mean the rest were total crap. G/S is by far the best generation for me gameplay-wise and the Pokemon weren't even bad. You're seriously complaining about lines around the eyes?

personally the games difficutly was the factor. it varied way to much. one boss could be hard as shit, but the next could be easy as beating a quad maputee at a chicken wing eatign contest and the guys diabetic.
