Promising games for the console, it's got my interest. Love that Unchrted and MGS was shown. I just want to know the price of this thing.

i just hope they get rid of that dumb UMD format. they already had to abandon a similar format many years ago called Mini-disc. go the Nintendo route and release a tiny cartridge.

if they want to make this a super beast of a handheld, then they better include USB 3.0 and at least 2.0MP cameras, not some piece of shit 0.3MP cameras the 3DS will have.

Why? Consider the resolution things will be shown on the screen, it's a handheld console not a camera.

a bad resolution taken by a camera is a bad resolution period. and since this new handheld includes a camera(s), it better be able to take a picture that doesn't look as pixelated as Super Mario Bros on the NES.

So we take from this that...Sony has learnt nothing?

Sure, the list of games is fantastic, some real heavy hitters in there. But how is that any different from the current PSP?

Don't get me wrong, the moment anything remotely exclusive that i'm desperate for (haven't seen the Uncharted footage yet) and i'll still probably bite, but i'd have expected Sony to have picked up a bit more from the trouncing the DS has given them so far.

Good, at least they've got WipEout on that list. I like WipEout.

This is a major selling point for me, seeing as there's games on the PSP I would love to play. Ahem, Peace Walker.

This is how I feel. Nintendo are very clever because everytime they've released a console recently (Wii, DS, 3DS), they have a unique selling point and they appeal not just to core gamers, but casuals as well. I'm always seeing children walking around with a DS Lite in their hands. I've never seen one with a PSP. I'll probably still buy it because I hate being console-less, and the line up does look very good for fans of those franchises, but it doesn't seem to be doing much different from the PSP. It's exactly what it is. A portable Playstation that feels comfortable, looks nice, has a decent line-up and now has 2 analog sticks. Thing is though, can't you just play the same franchises but better versions on the PS3?

This is the only thing that worried me from watching the presentation last night...the games and videos they showed seem to be mostly either ports of PS3 games or tech demos of PS3 games just to show off the graphical capabilities. Then again, the launch is still a ways away, so I'm not gonna judge the lineup just yet...kind of like how the 3DS's lineup is loaded with N64 remakes.

Sony is the one that's being amusing. like the prototype PS3 with 3 ethernet ports, 2 hdmi ports, and half a dozen UBS ports. then they ended up cutting features of out it to make it cheaper. this new PSP will suffer the same fate by the end of the year, cause there's no way in hell this thing will be less than $500.
