I think this might be the L4D console (PS3) type of game I've been waiting for.

I'm very inclined to buy it, that's for sure.

my reason is l4d dont have missions or really any story its just about killing zombies or do versus game mode

Seems less frantic than L4D and more tactical but my main queries are about the things we won't know 'til we can play it. Co-op options, lag, longevity, how the XP system works, variety in the missions. Other queries like pacing, is open world too big (ie farcry 2) and my biggest grievance is the low character roster hopefully we can unlock or downoad more survivors, I still miss that from Outbreak sure you were a character "type" but there were what 100+ characters.

I can see where the Fallout comparison comes from though with the weapon condition and its "prospecting" I'm a very melee based player in Fallout and it's similar maybe more like Elder Scrolls than Fallout though which felt faster paced in the melee . . .

I know it's zombies and we're all in love with them but I don't think it'll be special. Fun? Yea but from what I've seen it's no GOTY contender.

Just played for an hour. It's fun but movement and fighting feels awkward. I suggest lowering the sensitivity. It has a skill tree almost exactly like Borderlands. Character models are okay nothing special, the environmental are beautiful though.

Have had my copy on preorder since last month on Game.... Yeah i'm really starting to have doubts that my copy will be with me by release date, considering the order is still un-shipped and all the debacle about the game site being redesigned and screwing up badly =/ here's hoping its in the post tomorrow...

Well the danish site i orderd on sends the copy out the day before release ( so thats tomorrow) so i get it on release date.

From what I've seen I'm thinking of picking this up. But it will have to wait till after I'm done with Starfox 64 3D, since I need to do that for a review.

Wish I had more games to trade in, so that I could get this sooner. But alas, my local Gamestop got flooded during the hurricane, and from what I hear, it's going to be a long while till it opens back up.

Apparently co-op servers is down for the PC version so I've had a bit of it alone.

^ The reason for that is that Deep Silver fucked up big time by releasing the dev version for download instead of the retail release. It should be fixed by Friday. Until then, enjoy noclip! I haven't even had a chance to boot it up yet on my Steam, so I don't really have to worry about it until they fix it.

Ok i am at this moment so pissed off with Game, e-mail sent by them yesterday confirmed my order was on its way, now at 3 ish this morning they sent another saying my order had being canceled i'm giving till the post to come and if my copy isn't there i'll have no choice but to go all the way to the game round my end that takes 30 minutes to get to and back =_= not happy at all.
