After reading the article on ign it seems the trailer misrepresents the game the trailer was sad and somber emotional while the actual game is just flat out action with little atmosphere this is already sounding bad

The article sounds decent. The game play is all action, but it at least sounds like smart action. Which works for me as well anything, I suppose. It's deffintely a question of whether the game can pack the same emotional punch as the trailer though. It sounds like they're trying to go the deadly serious route (good) but some of the elements don't quite fit that (weapon combination system - a knife wired to a battery is still pretty silly).
But so far, I like what I hear. Especially no guns. That's a ballsy move.
As long as the gameplay is good I can forgive the story. Although to have a zombie/survival horror game that packs an emotional punch would be a great leap for the genre.

I keep reading there will be guns just not many.
According to latest OPM there will be special infected similar to L4D.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
A couple of new screenshots just appeared online with one of them showing one of the special infected, some big guy in a straight jacket. Secret medical facility beneath the island abducting holiday goers?
I admit, the Ram is rather...Charger-esque. I'm hoping for some different and unique special infected, but it's pretty obvious what this guy's deal is. On the other hand...
Ignore the Ram. Richard 'Fuck that snake' Aiken is who you need to be afraid of.
It's not really a PR stunt IMO, the logo will remain unchanged within the game and likely overseas. It's just the display requirement in the US that changed it, akin to that which required Valve to change the cover for L4D2, which remains unchanged outside of the US... well at least it did over here.
