Dragon Age II

Pretty excited about this game as I expressed in another thread. Dragon Age II will be released in 11 days from today, on March 8th. I know a lot of you have enjoyed the first game which was released in late 2009, I had a blast with it. It seems that this time they will be focusing on one character and his story, you will be able to choose from 3 different classes to play.

Let us use this thread to count down the days, and once the game is released, you can post about your adventures.

09 actually, not last year. But what ever lol. I absolutely love the first DA. I've spent 200+ hours into it. I have every DLC, the guides, action figures and 5 DA shirts. I LOVE Dragon Age.

I played the DA2 demo and it was fun, it was sped up and the graphics are a LOT better. Though, I do not like Hawke's voice actor (male), he is laughable imo. I know a lot of people are kind of disappointed that you can't play as a elf or a dwarf. It doesn't bother me because I played as a human noble warrior the whole time (except to do the origins). I also don't like the fact that I can't play as my character from Origins. I grew to love my character and all the time I've spent using him (yes, I have Awakening, but I'm not to fond of it), I still want to use him more. Not some random guy from Lothering.

Thats just what I have to say so far because obviously I haven't played it. Im getting the Signature Edition because I pre-ordered it in December before it hit the dead line. So I'll have that extra character who is already bad ass because his name is Sebastian

I wasn't too much of a fan of DA:O. But I do believe that is mostly because I got the 360 version, and all the previews I saw where the pc version, which was more like Baldurs Gate.

Can't wait to get this, tried the demo and liked.

Played the first one PS3 and played it lots. Got the PC version and done it all again with mods.

That type of thing is stupid. I didn't pre-order it so now I will not be buying it when I'm missing out on significant content. Why would anyone unless they ignorant of the fact?


Roll on Ultimate Edition in 12-18 months.

It is most likely not significant stuff, more as extra stuff not significant to the story or characters.

You can buy all this stuff right from the get-go. I just get it for free because I pre-ordered before the deadline, All we get is some weapons, a shield, a new party member and the soundtrack. Other than that there is no difference between the regular edition and the signature edition besides that the signature edition will be black and white not red and white.

And I'm pretty sure the weapons and stuff won't be that good.

Why would I buy it when people get it free for paying the same as I would? EA have soured this for me, an Ultimate Edition or nothing now.
