Sony's patent battle with LG over Blu-ray takes a new turn:
All shipments of PS3's to Europe are presently being confiscated by local customs officers. This was done because of a recent ruling which was handed down in the Netherlands.
If Sony is found to be violating LG's intellectual property, it could potentially be forced to pay substantial compensation for each PS3 ever sold, likely in the hundreds of millions of dollars range.
