Streets of Rage (Fan-Remake)

I was checking out some sega classics and ran into a site that were talking about a Streets of Rage Remake.well I found out,it wasn't sega making it,but an indie developement group remaking it.I tried out the 4th beta yesterday and it is definitly worth the download.alot of stuff has been redone including the soundtracks which have been composed to give the game a fresh feel.You can now run and charge at opponents.There are more directions to take which will change the story around.Its a really good project.

It's truly brilliant, but it's a painful waiting game. V4 (current build) came out in Jan 2007 and we are still eagerly waiting on the 5th (and final) release. They've even taken the Updates thread from the forum which had all the latest news about how it was doing.

This. Is. Amazing! I grew up playing these games, I still play them occasionally. I tried it out and got game over quite quickly, I'm no good at playing on a keyboard I think I may need to find my wired Xbox controller and play this through soon. Thanks a lot for posting!

Oh Sega...that's just a huge dick move. These poor souls have been working on this for 8 years. You could have C&D'd them at any time during that. But noooo, wait until they've finished it and then fuck 'em over. That's just...wow.
