No i'm not, apparently the the new disc doesn't need testing on PAL machines.

Sadly, no European testers were welcome in this round

Just like with the LIVE endurance test too ...

I bet it's all because I made too many valid complaints and garnered too much attention with my hilarious antics ...

      "This is working as intended."
      -But it's wrong.
      "What's wrong?"
-This and that is wrong in Norwegian.
"I'll have my team of linguistics take another look at it."
      -Good!
"My team tested it and they say it's just nitpicky stuff and it doesn't need fixing."
-Okay... but why is it still in Swedish?

I thought about it, but didn't really care for it. I beta tested the NXE and that killed my older X-Box's GPU (Error 74, IIRC) so unless it's beta testing a game like the Halo Reach beta testing I did with Bungie, I'm staying away.

Silly Microsoft trying to squeeze an extra gigabyte into their discs. The updated firmware probably was only tested on X-Box 360 dev units, because they'd make a mistake like that...

I entered and no word or mail. So I guess I'm not selected.

A guy on another forum I'm on got a disc and seems to be doing fine.

If I get a disc and the issues are wide spread enough I'll just tell them I bow out to keep harm away from my machine. If it means returning Halo, oh well, I don't even like the game much, it was just a free perk.

nope. fuckin' waste of my time. disc looks like something thrown together. i thought you get a beta disc and then an actual fully boxed retail of the game. but no, i can't even give it to my fuckin' friend to keep so he doesn't have to buy one.

Reading comprehension is a fine thing to be blessed with. Especially when you sign your name on something and agree to partake in it.

                    You didn't exactly have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out;
-MS advertises for new Preview Program for testing of new Xbox 360 disc format.
-Participants will be given a free copy of Halo: Reach to test said new disc format.

If anything; sell/axe your old Halo: Reach copy (assuming you already had one). You wont really need that one anymore as the new one is the very same game, just pressed on a new type of disc.

If you signed up just to get a free game to sell; You still don't have anything to make valid complaints about.

Not really complaining. And the comment about selling was more or less a joke, albeit a fairly bad one. I was planning on maybe getting Reach again when it hit a fairly low price, which I knew was never going to happen.

But I got the disc in the mail, and had a chuckle at the disc. It honestly looks like a pirated copy of the game you would buy on the street corner.

I would post a pic, but I recall reading the don'ts on the user agreement. No pics, no videos, no talking to any press of any kind. And although I doubt posting a pic would catch much ire, I'd rather not risk that.

And hopefully this doesn't kill my console, but I'm sure that will be a minority of users getting that issue, if any.

At least my console is still withing warranty.

Just gonna throw this out there...but i think the idea was that it was something that would benefit Microsoft in the long run, and not you.

                          Any chance?

As I see it, it gives me a game to play. It gives Microsoft data they need. If the game locks me out once the beta is over there is no loss to me.
