Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I enjoy the CoD games. I tend to play them on the playlists where there are no kill streaks. MW3 better do something different or I will be pissed. It's just getting so repetitive now..

Just curious...what would you like them to do differently? CoD4 broke the FPS mold. W@W introduced Nazi Zombies and tried introducing tanks in multiplayer, it didn't work. MW2 introduced customizable killstreaks and overpowered perks, plus Spec Ops mode, didn't work. Black Ops introduced theater mode, combat training, customizable emblems, "MLG" Competitive Playlists and new weapons like the ballistic knife and crossbow...seemed to be the best CoD since MW1, in my opinion. MW3 is rumored to have larger maps and destructible environments.

What would you like to see them do differently that they haven't already tried, when the formula has proven year in and year out to be an unparalleled money-maker and cash cow?

zombie assault mode: you have to break into a stronghold to get a objective. the only thing stopping you? hordes of the undead. can you survive torrents of the undead before your enemy gets the objective?

UN Conferences for those who's isn't USA or Russia didn't work out?

Single man? You mean Markov? Because what he did, logically, wouldn't be enough to put Russia over the edge in starting WW3 (let alone hacking satellites).

And where the odds are we won't be playing as German and French soldiers? =/

And as I said before, why is the US still being attacked? Was Russia still sending in Russian forces who were outside the EMP blast? You would think US and Canadian forces who weren't caught in the blast radius would have barely secured the northern East Coast by now. You would also think whatever reinforcements that was suppose to come was stopped by European navies who, I'm pretty sure noticed what was going on in America by now, to do something about; that is unless they were somehow annihilated by the Russian navy.

And so far, all I see is Russia. Nobody else is joining with their cause of obliterating the West?

Are any of them gutsy enough to activate MAD at this point?

Not to mention, this is suppose to be WW1 of the 21st century yet Russia is still being looked up as the bad guys. Everyone is being duped but it looks like they're still going to be looked upon like the Nazies, the big bad army endangering the free world...unless Russia actually went along with Markov which IW never really fully explained about as all we know about the govt. and rebel factions of the Ultranationalists who both worked and worked against each other but you'd have to use a sniper-scope to read a god damn news paper article figure that one out.

Guns, explosions, nukes, slow-mo events and dramatically spoken lines. This is all that is needed to make sense of anything in CoD. Especially the MW games.


Anyway, this trailer just like other CoD games seems to a bunch of scripted nonsense presented like you'll actually matter how it goes about. You won't.

The BF-series have always interested me more than CoD, it's simply much more fun to play BF than the latter. Specially now that they have focused on the single player part in BF3, you can expect a game that will be top notch (Although I never really cared for the single player aspect, I've always loved BF's multi player).

I played every game in both series, regardless of how I felt. It's silly to judge if one hasn't played both, to be honest.

I've started playing BF and CoD pretty much around the same time. And So far MW3 doesn't look to be much differen from Black Ops, I'm waiting to see more. But BF3 does look like it's expanding the game.

I'm hoping both are good, but somehow BF3 just looks like a game I'll stick with far longer.

I feel the gameplay is much moe expanded. And the size of the maps really helps each game feel exciting. Black Ops pretty much felt the same everytime I played it. That and the small touches that BF has over CoD. the sound design is utterly fantastic in Bad Company 2. The guns had bark to them, while in Black Ops felt like I was going "pew pew".

Fantastically put. That is pretty much how I feel about BC2.

The only thing I like about CoD is the single player story mode. I don't really care much for its gameplay, as you say, it gets repetitive very quickly (not to mention the unrealistic 1 shot 1 kill at any thing you aim at). After finishing the single player campaign, the game ends on the shelf for me. Whilst a BF game will keep me entertained for a long time.
