I don't know if anyone else has experienced this problem, but mine came up last night just fine, and now I'm back to seeing the "Playstation Network is under maintenance" message again when I try to sign in. I'm thinking the issue might be too many people in my area trying to sign on so it's overloading local servers.

...Or it could just be an incident isolated to just me...

    EDIT:
Pfft, and just like that it decides to log me in. Whatever Playstation. Whatever.

Neither is it here. European Twitter said an hour ago they were restoring service to both of our countries but there still hasn't been really anything happening with it.

Hopefully it won't be like it was last night "Beginning restoration of [country]", six hours later it still isn't up properly.

It's been going down in a few places for short periods of time, so it's probably a bit of strain on the servers at the moment.

I've got access back as of now, so it should be up in Oz by now unless you guessed correctly and NZ got it back first. I don't see how though.

Edit - After having access for half an hour and syncing my trophies, I popped offline to change my UK account and couldn't get on. Then I tried to log back into my NZ one and it's back to what it used to be. So either they're still fiddling with the local connections or there is an overload on there and I was just lucky before.

It isn't up, it's "fake" up. If I go to do anything online, it comes up with the maintenance message again. Only difference is that it's showing me my message box before giving out an error.

When they said Australia was online, most of the reactions regarding it was "The fuck, apparently it should be up. But it isn't." more or less.

So, it's still not up yet. It's also not giving me the password reset option after updating my PS3 and my PSP refuses to update despite having a nearly full battery and has also been charging for more than an hour.

            DX

And the site log-in is still down too on EU, AU sites.

I think all you PSN folks will most likely have to wait another 2 days from the looks of it.

Honestly put, but considering how irritated a large amount of people have been over the miscommunication from Sony over time-frames, lack of information and so-on... People are only going to be patient for so long.

But before the whole "but PSN is free, deal with it" bit is brought up again, it's actually factored into the price of the PS3 console itself so we've more or less paid up-front for it instead of monthly/yearly increments like X-Box Live users have.

Not to forget, with multiple security companies posting research finds to things that Sony had security pages and the like indexed on Google among other things that users will get even more irritated upon finding out more information regarding the breach and/or the loss of their private information causing bit of an inconvenience to them.

And posting updates to their Twitter account that is inaccurate doesn't help either.

Overall, I think that the relaunch should have been timed a bit better so that it was rolled out equally around the globe to try and lessen the server strain as people are still logging into their account's for other countries' PSN service so it wouldn't be crashing in certain states or countries for a few minutes with everyone rushing to check or to also prevent users for feeling that there is a bias towards their country and/or region due to how it's being rolled out.

I mean, my partner and his friends can still play games together and according to Sony - I'm supposed to be able to, but I can't. Seems like a waste considering I JUST picked up Gold Edition and Marvel VS Capcom 3 specifically to play with Smiley and some friends like Steve-Ø.

So, that was a waste of $150. I'm glad I didn't pick up Portal 2 as of yet, because I still wouldn't be able to redeem the PC version due to the false information provided by SCEE.

What a pile of crap, LBP was already given away free to PS+ users, the other games are either already been part of PS+ so able to play them already or have been discounted heavily mutiple times.
