Well here is the list for the NA market.

All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.

To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

What a pile of crap, LBP was already given away free to PS+ users, the other games are either already been part of PS+ so able to play them already or have been discounted heavily mutiple times.

It's obvious that they're giving away old games like LBP and Infamous to
people who never owned/played them so they can profit from the gamers
that buy the sequel...hence no ModNation Racers which was the game I
was hoping to see in the list.

PS3 games? More like PSN/3 Minis and old PS3 games that everyone and
their mom have played.

^ It's exactly what I expected more or less. However I expect there will be a stink over this and Sony will have to look at alternatives.

When the Dreamcast was out here in NZ they found they couldn't provide the online support and so everyone who registered their console within the country was sent a letter outlining they would give you a free game due to this.

Problem was they were a pick of 5 or so games that had all been out in the first five months of the consoles release (Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure, etc.), and while they were all solid games - everyone had almost all of them, myself included.

So Sega had to back-peddle the list and produced a new one with newer games on it. I got Shenmue for free out of that deal and it'd only been out 3 weeks at the time.

I kinda get the feeling looking around online the feedback to this in general is going to go that way with Sony.

Well when LBP and Wipeout were offered free with PS+ nearly everyone complained because they were old as ass games. SOny even took note of of the complaints so after the LBP/Wipeout offer ended they switch to 15 months for price of 12 offer like the US had instead.


So now they offer the same two games again, knowing the complaints before and presumably realising that the few people who didn't have them already would have got them when they gave them away free...

Since then the other games have all recieved/been the PS+ month game which means people can play them until PS+ expires as well as heavy discounts, some of the games several times.


So yeah, maybe, just maybe it isn't a stretch to expect games that aren't old, given away free and heavily discounted already.


Or better yet, an option for store credit instead.


Personally from this I get 1 month of PS+ free and nothing else.

I'm not sure what people were expecting from the choices...

I was expecting Infamous 1 and LBP1...but I didn't expect the last 3 being PSN
titles and not full-fledged PS3 titles that are not in physical media form.

There's no way they'll be giving away the sequels, we all know that much...

I wonder how the Japanese select titles will look like, I bet it'll very different
from the US/EU one.

I have a Japanese account when I want to play some Japanese demos or
download game trailers so I'll probably get my hands on whatever the
Japanese side gets.

I'm not interested in Ratchet & Clank, though I don't have LittleBigPlanet or inFamous so this is a no brainer for me. I'll take both of those.

Breaking it down

LBP - Old game with newer, better sequel out that runs everything LBP does, offered free the PS+ subscribers, also discounted to PS+ Subbers.
Infamous - Old game, was recently PS+ trial game with a heavy discount.
Dead Nation - Fairly new (6 months old), PS+ had a week 1 discount offer, in addition to general discount for everyone recently.
R+C: QFB - Old game, has seen discounts, was a PS+ game of the month so any PS+ member from then can play it until their sub ends.
Wipeout HD/Fury - Old game, seen many sales, given away free for PS+ people already as well as the Fury part offered for discount several times.

Honestly why no offer something like MAG, the online for that is desperate for players to fill the larger games, it is more recent a game than all but Dead Nation and Europe didn't get the PS+ offer that the US got for the game. Not like the game is selling either.

Thank god i didnt bought dead nation when they did that discount a few weeks ago, guess my picks will be dead nation and infamous (never played it).

On the psp side the only one im interested is killzone... guess ill pick that and lbp for when i get the ngp.

Just make a fake European PSN account with your address as Bukingham Palace or something. I did it before to download the demo of KILLZONE 2 instead of having to go pre-order at gamestop's sweat shops.
