Edit: Actually, might not be so bad. Iron Man not having double jump yet he can dash cancel air normals, air dash AGAIN right after air dashing and doing an air attack, his ground dash is faster and can cover half the screen instead of just a third, plus the faster unibeam. I think this works fine for me as far as I'm concerned. Coupled with Doom having faster projectiles, I'm beginning to think I don't NEED a third team member.

Phoenix needed nerfing badly, too many assbags who would just run all match until they built 5 bars, then tag her in, fight until she went Dark and then tagged her out so they could just X-Factor and rule with her if the other two characters died. Sent was always bullshit too with his damage, speed and options.

Anyone seen info on Jill? Her speed was great but her damage sucked as did her health. The machine gun hyper damage was random and unreliable and the dive kick would miss half the time even from same positions where it hits others. I found her not worth using over characters like X-23 who at least was reliable in making contact.

Hopefully Nemesis is fun to play.

Its one thing to nerf/balance a character and another to completely destroy said character to the point of rending them useless. I see nobody using her anymore (at least competitive speaking).

I guess still use her but just for fun and not competitive anymore.

My new main team will be Wesker/Nemesis/Frank West.

She is broken at all levels of play, even a noob can dark pheonix X-factor and win. She just throws so much crap out even with basic attacks and the chip damage alone is deadly. The moment any player realises they can homing fireball and then teleport behind so the user is getting hit no matter what they do it is over. She will still have the damage and chip, just that it has a bigger risk now and the player *gasp* will have to learn more than one attack.

I have disagree, shes only "broken" because of X-factor yes but shes not a Win button by any means. You have to be VERY careful with her, one mistake and shes gone. You lose. Thats it.

You also have to be good enough to actually get 5 bars. There are matches in High level play that you cant even get passed 3-4 bars. Dont forget the snapbacks too, which used correctly can lead to ways to kill her very easy.

I just saw my bro beat 3 times a Highlord using her just by timing her teleports and punishing them... with Ammy. Hell i have beaten a Masterlord the same way (Sentinel).

Edit: she wont have the same damage input also, they nerfed X-factor damage and duration aswell.

Timing her teleports to punish? If the DP didn't fireball first was an idiot, you fireball then teleport behind so they are stuffed because they getting hit from either her or the fireball, they should be able to punish since the fireball should hit.

Besides one mistake and she is gone is better than no mistakes and she kicks your ass anyway. 5 bars is easy to reach especially for runaways, and they can use the wolf or Morri to buff hyper bar just to speed it up.

There is a reason she is getting nerfed so hard. It isn't because she was easily killed with one mistake.

I agree with KylieDog, I've never liked the very concept of Dark Phoenix. I think it's a retarded idea, grossly overpowered. If someone tries that shit with me, I try to snap DP back in so that I can kill her.

I remember before MvC3 released there was a video of Hulk one shotting her and everyone claiming she was garbage. Now everyone says she is broken and needs nerfing.

...and now they say she is garbage again. We shall see. I think she'll just need more practice and maybe not so noob friendly anymore.

To be completely honest Pheonix wasnt broken it was X-factor. Without it she wasnt a real problem.

But now many noobs cried and whine about her isntead of learning how to counter her and actally *gasp* get better at this game that they completely made her useless just look at this:

-X-factor nerf (The only real good one)
-One action per jump (Completely destroys most of her game, 2 actions will have been better)
-Less health now (I see no reason for this)
-Side TAC now takes meter.
-One of Morrigans proyectiles takes meter.
-One of Shumas moves takes meter.

Cant wait to see what other character people cry about now and ruin. I already seen noobs cry about Trish now

I don't mean to be rude but there are people who play this game for a living who complained about her, do you not think the might have just a bit better understand of the game?

Hardly a nerf since every Phoenix user will just expect the tac to go sidewides and be able to counter it. And everyone fighting a Phoenix wil be wanting to go sideways to take the meter.

I havent seen any Pro outside of Justin that complained about her and yet he pretty much owned her on CEO many times.

And you still have to guess which side you have to counter on TAC, thats 50/50.
