Ryu got buffed heavily in Ultimate, Jill got nerfed. There isn't much logic to it.
Jill is getting nerfed for good reason, just because you don't agree with her being nerfed and because she's not as easy or accessible to use as Wolverine or X-23 doesn't make it automatically illogical...I can tell you for sure that her 'bread & butter' is not easy but just because it's harder to pull off doesn't deem her as a bad character.

I saw that in the list and knew you were going to say something about it. xD
But that's what happens when you take physical abuse from your fellow prosecutors, you gain endurance.
Read it on 'Fantasy Land Magazine' & 'The Bullshit Journal'.

On a more serious note, looks like I"m going to have to get Ultimate after all, no thanks to Jill's Boobs complete idiocy in getting rid ofhis physical game collection. Uggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh.

At least there's spectator mode. . ...and Vergil. Screw everything else.sigpic

I completely forgot this thread existed for some reason. Anyway, I figured I'd add my opinion after changing heavily from when it was first announced... I'm really looking forward to UMVC3. I got to admit, I was pretty pissed at first when they announced it, but my opinion really has changed.
First off, I've gotten over 100 hours of playtime out of the original. It's pretty much the only game my friends and I play together when we hang out, and we all mostly love it, except for like one or two people, and even then they play it anyway. Out of those 100 hours, most of it has been in versus. Throughout my time playing it, I've stuck with the same team. I use Morrigan, Wesker, and Dormammu, and sometimes, I'll occasionally switch Morrigan with C.Viper. The funny things I've never got bored of it, despite using the same 3 characters. I constantly feel like I'm getting better, and its fun to see that in matches against my friends. We all have our own characters that we use, which makes things interesting, and we all love the gameplay in general. I've gotten my moneys worth out of MVC3.
Now onto Ultimate. I was originally pissed off at first that they were doing this so soon after the original, but I soon stopped caring. $40 for 12 new characters, online that actually (hopefully) works now, new stages, new modes, rebalancing, and a new interface. Now going by Capcom's standards, and how they charged $5 a pop for Shuma and Jill, I'd only assume that the characters alone would add up to $60 if they were DLC, and that's not even including everything else. Now I know some of you will probably say that they're optional, you don't have to buy them all. While that is true, I planned on buying them all for my friends and I, so it works out. Also, out of the 12 new characters, four of em I plan on using. Nemesis, Ghost Rider, Firebrand, and Frank West are all characters I plan to pick up. It'll be nice to finally have more characters I want to play with, after sticking with mainly 3 in the original. Also, with everything else added, I'm looking forward to many more hours of having fun with this game.

Looks like Nemesis won't feel lonely in this game:

Her STARS attire wouldn't make any sense with Nemesis in the game. Chris and Wesker have theirs because their story started in RE1. Jill and Nemesis were also "rivals" for the whole game so giving her this outfit makes a lot more sense.
Besides I'd rather get BSAA Jill over STARS. Oh and in case you skipped the comment in that link these alts are actually included in the game. I suppose it's some sort of compensation for paying 5 $ for these characters.
