Cool enjoyed the first game back in its time, think its going to need quite an update to keep up with the rest of the games today though. Didnt play the DLC so hope I didnt miss too much.

^ The DLC basically confirms a sequel. It's pretty much the true ending to the game.

Yup, this game's engine has been heavily upgraded so expect the facial animation mocop to be up there like with LA noire, as hinted before

All I'm gonna say is that the tech for this game is seriously upgraded especially when it comes to facial animations. Just wait
From a game journo just now.

Ah well I guess I'll have to watch the DLC on Youtube. If they released a Special Edition with the DLC I'd buy it but cant be bothered for downloading it.

More like just another two 'to be continued' messages.

Ok I'm gonna bump this topic to say I'm pretty excited for American Nightmare.

What I didn't like abu=out the trailer was the crow-human-monster thing :/ I liked the bad guys in Alan Wake because they were the darkness, full of shadows, but that thing... I can see every inch of it...
Still, I'm reeeally liking the idea of playing more AW, the story was soooo good, so Stephen Kingish

I never had a chance to play first Alan Wake. Can someone tell me about what it is? It looks like Silent Hill game.

Psychological thriller/horror, so kind of like Silent Hill, no puzzles though and much bigger focus on combat. Resources aren't really limited even on hardest either. Good game even if replay value limited.

Go and play it. It's a good game. If you enjoy the core experience, definetly get the DLC, maybe it will get discounted near Xmas.

My copy came with a voucher for the first DLC Free, and then I got "The Writer" 1/2 price in a sale. Anyway, I got mine in Asda (Think Walmart) for £10 about this time last year actually . . . . eerie! Even more so I just started playing it again recently too . . .

Just bought Alan Wake pre-owned and the poor fool who previously owned it obviously tried to scratch off the DLC code, failed and then gave up. There's a huge tear in the scratch panel where they've tried to scratch it but went too hard and ended up almost ripping through the card. But the code works fine. So I basically got 'The Signal' for free.
                              See you in hell.
