Guess what THQ just did while everyone was distracted by e3?
For a moment there, I thought they had closed the entire company....I was going to start crying for 'Darksiders 2' being cancelled...glad to see I was wrong.

@ Smiley - It's true, but then again it's easier the more iconic and more games they do it. Tis a shame eitherway. Ubi just says it's because of the mo-cap and getting Ironside to do it, but RE5 proves you can do mo-cap and voice seperate and still make it work.
As for the THQ studio - while it's not nice for anyone to loose their job, the studio itself was an ex-Midway studio that WB didn't keep and hasn't put much out in the past few years. Their last released game was WWE All Stars and the game they were next working on was axed almost 2 months ago in THQ's wipeout. It's amazing it wasn't axed earlier TBH, which I guess adds only to the idea that they did it intentionally today to bury it.

*as posted on Kotaku*"I'm sorry but the last time I checked, that shit is only important when character development is THAT important and if I recalled, Splinter Cell was never the type the game to care (it's been "trying" though since Double Agent) and even if you were attempting to do so, you need to deliver the goods and what I've seen in both trailers shows nothing special in the performances so I have no idea what the hell Toronto is smoking to think they need the same body and voice when, for the longest time, they have been separated but have been expertly intermixed. If this is due to trying to make cut-scenes in the same vain more character driven titles but delude themselves that what they're doing is that of quality, then the hell with this. So far, Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls are the only things to really make me sit up and bark. Last of Us is looking like a more playable version of I am Alive with zombie-things, and Beyond is Quantic, one of the few studios I automatically pay attention to (although I'm still pissed that a Move supported version of Heavy Rain too prescendence over more Heavy Rain Chronicles add .

Looks like there's three games I'm looking forward to from E3 - Beyond: Two Souls, The Last of Us and Watch_Dogs. I'm not sure about the new Splinter Cell, they replaced Michael Ironside. But I've already talked about how disapproving I am of that decision. I'll keep an eye on Blacklist regardless, the gameplay looks enjoyable enough. Dead Space 3 looked decent too, definitely looking forward to that.See you in hell.

Dead Space 3 looks...potentially interesting. Again, the demos are likely to show high action moments, and Dead Space has never been short of those anyway, but it feels a bit like some of the panic has gone, mostly due to the 'bro banter' between the characters. Even when a giant drill is going ballistic and trying to kill them.
Of course, the co-op is thankfully optional, but still...if anything I'd expect them to have them play off each other, and the fact that people tend to go nuts and murder friends and loved ones thanks to the Marker. A bit dissapointed with co-op so far.
