Said $50 US, the leak said £40 in the UK. Are they taking the piss with that price?

      How much is COD Elite?

Look at this gameplay from Modern Warfighter. Doesn't it seem absolutely different from Call of Duty/Battlefield? I can't believe how unique and diverse these first person shooter franchises are. Really, they give that lame-ass Bioshock a talking-to. A city underwater/in the sky? Psh, who needs that when we've got stunning brown ground textures, rusty doors, and partially collapsed buildings. Can't wait to suit up this fall and go to war. AMERICA BITCHES!

£35 I think, thought it doesn't offer as many map packs if I recall correctly. My last post was mainly a gripe at price difference between US/UK.

I understood the price difference you were getting at, but I also just wanted to know much it compared by the cost of Elite over there.

Need For Speed is looking great, Most Wanted was probably the best PS2/Xbox era title. Criterion knows their stuff.

Most Wanted looked to me like a better looking Burnout Paradise (also Criterion).

Paradise had great post release support, NFS Hot Pursuit was fun but the DLC support was poor and mostly extra cars.

If it's Need For Speed: Burnout basically, then yeah I'm sold. Aside from his God Save The Queen comment, I noticed all the player names for the demo were the Royal Family :p

After Crysis, no more titles. Was really hoping for a Mirror's Edge 2. Ah well.

No real surprises from EA, most of it had been pre-announced or know. But a reasonably solid bunch of titles from them this year.

Well, EA's press conference was completely underwhelming. Need for Speed looks good though. . .but why does it have the same title as the last one they released.

                    • Out of all that, I think DS3 was the best looking. Crysis 3 looks good too. Everything else was pretty forgettable.

I, too, am disappointed by no Mirror's Edge 2. Such wasted potential, EA.

                      • Spencer - Guy from Criterion when he was leaving the stage. Didn't catch his name.

valentinesdead? - Who knows. They did the same with Hot Pursuit as well. Maybe leverage of the more well known titles in the franchise. I honestly want another Burnout though, but Criterion keeps making NFS titles.

                        • Sadly, I think I was more impressed by Microsoft's "let's demonstrate useless features" showcase than EA's bullet-point list of nothing.

You mean, EA makes Criterion keep making NFS titles, right?

Well yes, that was implied. EA is doing the 1 per year alternate studio thing with the franchise and making Criterion one of those studios. I don't know how well Hot Pursuit did (it at least went GH/Platinum on both consoles), but The Run did horribly. You'd think EA would want Criterion doing what it really does best and be making a new Burnout instead. I mean they do car games great, but Burnout is their studio at it's creative best.
