Here’s the thing – I could write another nine pages on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I could do it with ease. From the missions that have you listening to bird calls to the missions that have you taking photos of ghosts to missions that have you holding people up with bananas, this game is insanely deep. It’s crazy and I want to go on and on about every little thing, but there’s no reason for me to sit here and spoil it for you.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is awesome and you need to play it. It’s not perfect, as the co-op is nearly mandatory in some spots and I could’ve done with a better “how to guide,” but this game is a masterpiece. Not only is it in the running for the title of greatest game ever on the PSP, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the greatest games in the entire Metal Gear franchise.
So I've only played the game for a little over an hour, and it's already a million times deeper than Portable Ops ever was, and is easily the deepest and most bang-for-my-buck PSP game I've ever played. Mother Base is fantastic. Capturing, organizing and assigning troops to specific duties is A LOT better and much deeper than it was in Portable Ops. The controls get much easier after playing for a while, after a period of confusion at the beginning. The gameplay is like MGS4 portable, and there is nothing wrong with that.
As far as the story goes, it seems pretty cut-and-dry so far. This seems very much like a standalone title, focusing on this specific story and Big Boss rather than an all-encompassing and convoluted plot that has everything to do with, well, everything.
So far, I'm impressed, but I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

I haven't gone far off in knowing the story but if you can spoil it to me, will Ocelot be making an appearance in PW and as part of Big Boss's team as well as Eva? I haven't read the spoiler futher to for me to spoil myself of the story, just to get me excited to get the game on friday after I get my paycheck haha.
