I don't get how they can give him and entire new body again and lose the cyborg crap but characters like Snake or Naomi are screwed and have to die.
Spoiler:
He still has the Cyborg crap, it's just more human looking now. If you look closely enough you can see the pieces are artificial. And probably less able to spin kick a gecko into oblivion. Plus my cynical side says, 'Snake? Dead? Hahahahahaha. Yeah right.' Naomi dying did suck though.
I tried playing MGO2 when it first came out, even bought a couple expansions. Was just too horrible a game though, all the Metal Gear elements where killed in favour of shooter stuff, and laggy players were god like because you could never grab them or hit them well so the few times you could do the MG stuff it just didn't work. Then they kept patching it nerfing the MG elements and so promoting shooter stuff.
MGO1 was so much better.
Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."
MGO1 was better I'll agree. But I don't mind MGO2. I've had a few lag problems here and there but nothing compared to what it used to be 2-3 years ago when I first started playing it.
The first Metal Gear Online was so fun, not to mention very friendly and the modes were good, there wasn't that much lag and the game iteslf was great to play.
Then you have Metal Gear Online 2, as everything has been said enough, I'm not really gonna mention it again. The community sucked though, no-one friendly, so to speak, and people would kick me becaues I was winning.
I gave up after that, it's a community that kills an online game, especially Metal Gear Onlines - but that mixed with the fact they took out pretty much all MG elements killed it.
Then, not to mention the online region lock, what the hell where they thinking?
Well, since I'm going through the original MGS to capture the cutscenes, I'd thought I'd share this. I was planning to also record every codec conversation in the game, but then I stumbled upon someone who's already done the work.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
Pretty neat. I don't see anyone who's ripped the MGS2's yet, but I might try to do it myself with the PC or ps2 disk. Although, that means no in-game music to accompany some of the codecs, but oh well.
I liked him for the same reason. Too bad they fucked up his character in 4 in order to make him look cool and badass.
Totally disagree. I thought Raiden in MGS2 was too preppy to be a scarred child of war. Raiden being despondent and colder in 4 always seemed realistic to me. Or perhaps his character never changed. During codec conversations with Rose, she always called him "cold." I think 4 showcased the real Raiden; not the one who was getting his crotched grabbed by the president, but the one who was "afraid of the night."
Besides, Raiden's blossoming to being a badass came out successful and not cringeworthy.
