I like the fact that even though Big Boss stole WMDs, raised child soldiers and held the world to ransom with nuclear holocaust, he's still a 'cool guy'. I also like how all of that is so easily overlooked, when in truth he's actually one of the most self-absorbed characters in the series - to the point where one might suggest that Big Boss actually represents Hideo Kojima himself. Who cares if he committed all those misdeeds, because he's a "badass" and he knows CQC, right?

They ruined Big Boss in MPO and MGS4 and that mistake in turn ruined the series.

I may have written MGS4 off as "somewhat good" had that ridiculous, tacked on and absolutely retarded ending hadn't cropped up. Now I regard it as complete and utter tripe with no hope of redeeming itself.

And it's unbelievable how I enjoy MGS2's excess amount of dialogue and expenditure much more than MGS4's horseshit that is boring and completely uninteresting. MGS2 at least had the atmosphere, intrigue and mystery to keep me fixed to it, but MGS4 had none of that except WORDSWORDSWORDSWORDS with nothing to make it worth listening to. The LOL PAUSE THE CUTSCENES gimmick ended up being useless considering I don't want to watch them in the first place. It would've worked in MGS2, so I don't miss any of the Kojima charm and badass-ness, but in MGS4 it's just totally irrelevant.

That and the story sounds like it's been written by a 12 year old with at least one major deblitating disease. Definately Kojima's worst work.

bad ending that the legendary big boss is actully there and telling snake about the stuff that happend ??? how can that not be awsome intead of just snake killing himself that whould be lame as hell so big boss came back in the end was the best that could ever happend it was awsome !!!

No, it wasn't awesome. Not in any way, or close to it. Big Boss coming back after ALMOST 20 REAL LIFE YEARS AND EVEN LONGER IN GAME YEARS OF BEING DEAD is not awesome. Not at all. And to come back a completely changed man with no semblence of his former character or personality? No. Then to die in the same scene after attempting to explain all of the mindless shit that just happened? No. That is not storytelling. That's drivel.

That and it's impossible to revive a horribly charred corpse after numerous years using the body parts of a corpse that was in the fucking ocean for god knows how long. That alone is fucking stupid.

Kojima was quite clearly on some sort of Class A drug during development of MGS4. There is fiction, then there's complete fantasy. MGS4 is the latter. Any political commentary was wiped clean off the board by the amount of non-sensical bullshit that makes it hard to take the game seriously.

its not impossible its metal gear solid its like raiden been a ninja and getting back to his own body its like fox to be a ninja to couse u cant make that or do that its all unrealistic so i dont see why it cant be possible to get big boss back

Mpo is a nice game good to see big boss again the cut scenes was something new but i liked the way it was and its metal gear solid were everything can happend thats the metal gear solid univers it was nice to see big boss one last time for good together with snake something we havent seen sins mg the really old games so it was nice i liked it and i think metal gear solid 4 is one of the best of them all.

so what its his story and he can do with it the way he wants it to if it wasent for him there whouldent even be a metal gear solid so be gradeful for him couse he could come up with all the ideas in metal gear solid and yes everything can happend becuse its mgs and its kojimas story and world he greated it and he can do with it whatever he likes!.

I will admint too what you guy's are saying about MGS4 it did not feel like the rest of MGS series the atmosphere was complety diffrent from other MGS's games doint get me wrong I like MGS4 but it was diffrent and the whole bringing Big Boss back was pointless they brong him back only for like 26 mins then killed him off again it whould have been alot better if they ended MGS4 with Snake killing him self.
