  • Big Boss and Ocelot are both my fave of all time time no matter how many pepole think.

I think the Reason I like Big Boss ever seince MG when I first played that game and Big Boss was like most pepole now helping at first and near the end it turn out he was the real villian of the game and the same with MG2 we thought he was dead until near the end aother polt twist it turn out he was still alive I thought it was a good polt twist I never saw it comming.

As for Ocelot well I think he's just a persistent sneaky and cool villain when I first saw him I never whould have thought 10 years later he whould be still be in the MGS seires and be the final boss in the end of Solid Snake's saga im going to miss both him and Big Boss.

    • Para-Medic is my favorite Metal Gear character. i liked her cause she was so fun to talk to in MGS3, and she was smart and sexy. which i really liked. i could sit for hours running around into different areas doing nothing but calling Para-Medic and talking to her and finding things and asking her about them. and her conversations with Snake when you saved the game where the best.

Ocelot is my second favorite character, cause he's just so cool, i like his MGS3 Major Ocelet appearance the best, then his Revovler Ocelot appearance in MGS2 after that. although i hated him in MGS4, he sucked in that, and worse he didn't even have a gun, let alone a Revolver, i mean what the hell was Kojima thinking?

and Rosemary is the third favorite character, cause she's a loving a devoted girl friend to Raiden, even if she did have to go undercover and pretend to be campbells wife. also i find all the jokes about her cooking hilarious.

i also like Meryl, EVA, Naked Snake, Raiden (MGS2 only), Solidus, Liqiud Snake, Fortune, Vamp, Sniper Wolf, Naomi (MGS4 not 1), Johnny Sasaki, Sunny, Olga, Colonel Volgin, The Boss, Sigint, Major Zero, Raikov, Drebin, Otacon, Emma Emmerich and finally Solid Snake.

i like a lot of Metal Gear characters.

That's impossible my friend. Kojima has praised the movie a lot of times.

                      • Considering Kojima has made a list of his favourite movies for three different sources prior to this year (Official PSM in the UK, Famitsu in Japan, and an updated version for PlayStation.com) and each of those listed Escape From New York on there, and specifically mentions Snake Pliskin and his eye patch as influences on the entire series... I think I'll go with those.

His most recent list from the start of this year of 15 of his favorite movies neglects this, but thats because the list is his fav movies not specifically just those who influenced MG.

Finally this has turned up online, which provides a few chuckles. Reminds me a lot of the extra cinema sequences in MGS3, which were originally unlockable on the official website before being included on the Subsistence package. Is this a clue that a MGS4 Re-release with bonus content is probably coming sooner than I expect?

The official Metal Gear web portal, where you can find all the latest on the series.

well maybe they did rush it a little but resident evil 5 did the same with their story but unlike resident evil 5 mgs4's story was still amazing and it didnt make their antagonist seem like the typical movie badguy *cough wesker *cough lol

It was fine portraying the guy in MGS3 the way he was, and slowly showing his decline into someone willing to commit war crimes such as a nuclear holocaust and using child soldiers. But trying to make the guy seem like a hero and a patriot with the crimes he commited...

No. Maybe he had his reasons but they're never, ever good enough for what he did. It's like saying some saidistic rapist is cool because he looks badass and knows kung fu. He's still an ass.

I agree with this. Unfortunately, like others have said, Kojima's not as good as he once was. Aside from the horrible Big Boss retcon in 4 (and possibly PO, I haven't played it), he also ruined Raiden.
