The MGS series had so many very good boss fights. Pretty much every fight in MGS1 was absolutely awesome, aside from the Ocelot fight I guess...but once you got the hang of running and shooting with X and Square, it was fun. Other than that, the other fights of the series that stand out for me personally, are Vamp(MGS2), the mass-produced RAYs, Solidus, The End, The Fear(pain in the ass), The Fury(fun in the dark), The Boss(tears were shed), Rex vs. RAY, and of course, last but certainly not least, Snake vs. Ocelot on top of Outer Haven's tower.

I never got into MGS 3. I dislike the healing system and found the game to be a bit on the difficult side. So it now just collects dust. I enjoyed playing MGS 2 on PC. The game is picky but if you know what to do running the game is rather simple. Never had the chance to try MGS on PC I think I may eBay that someday though.

one thing i really didn't like about MGS4 was the ammount of flashbacks and nods to the previous games and homages and how much it relied on nostalgia.
i mean the 4th chapter was nothing but a nostalgia trip, but after the first 5 minutes it was just boring.
and i mean the whole bike chase with Eva and her getting imapled again in the same place then somehow mistaking Snake or Big Boss was just stupid.
and the ammount of reused Dialoge in the last two chapters was just lazy after a while.
also im really pissed about the camera in MPO, it would have been so much fun with the classic camera, the 3D camera makes it almost unplayable at times with the PSP.

For me it's one boss from each Metal Gear game.
Metal Gear Solid 3: The Boss
Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops: Null/Gray Fox
Metal Gear: Metal Gear TX-55
Metal Gear 2: Black Ninja
Metal Gear Solid: Psycho Mantis
Metal Gear Solid 2: Ray Unit
Metal Gear Solid 4: Ocelot
As for my favorite, Liquid or Grey Fox. I liked the boss battles that were pretty much fist fights.
