well i dont care what anyone says. MGS4 was a surpurb game and its the last of the MGS series. if you dont like it. get over it. it happend, its canon.
nothing can change it except for Kojima and im pretty sure he wont.

as for the M14. wrong. that gun sucks compared to the DSR-1.

i can kill everyboss in like 10 minutes with the DSR-1
the M14 sniper sucks. its like one of the worst guns in MGS4 since the M14 is a automatic its less powerful.

ill stick to just using the MK.23 SOCOM.

I'm not saying that I don't like it, I'm just saying how MGS4 is different from the other MGS series. I still think that MGS4 is a badass game and I do hope they make a MGS5 in the near future. Hopefully it gets port to the 360 also. Maybe they will use the new Crytech 3 engine in MGS5. (It ain't going to happen)

The way I look at it is this way:

Grab MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3. Start from scratch, normal difficulty, and try running through the game killing anything that gets in your way. It doesn't work so well.

In MGS4 you can do it. In fact there are large areas where it's actively engouraged. Where using stealth is only for going for a emblem. The epsionage has been toned down in favour of the action, where before there was a good balance.

Not only that, but there was a SHITLOAD of weapons, ammo and health pick ups making the game far too damn easy (even on the highest difficulty setting!)

It's certainly the easiest Metal Gear game yet. Therefore it doesn't even play like a Metal Gear.

I just got MGS 4 and can't wait to start playing it. Been a fan of the series and hope they continue it somehow. I want to also get twin snakes but its hard to come by. Anyone who has played it is it worth playing or should I just forget it?

I disagree, i used the DSR-1 a little but i found the M14EBR much more effective since it had a silencer, besides a head shot is a one hit kill anyway.

and i still think MGS4 is an alright game on it's own, i just hate it because it ruined it's far superier older brothers.

...no, it didn't. MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 are as good as they were years ago. Playing through the games by themselves, they're still fantastic. It doesn't matter what MGS4 retconned or 'ruined.' If you can't handle MGS4's story and you let it bother you so much that it 'ruins' the other games, then I don't know what to tell you.
