You know, it just occurred to me, if Konami can replace VA's in the Silent HIll collection. . ..does that mean that the MGS theme from 2 and 3 might be removed now? I absolutely cringe at the thought of a butchered MGS3 Debriefing scene.
Konami, leave it alone please. Leave it alone for all that is holy.sigpic

I know all the true MGS fans are supposed to absolutely detest twin snakes and all, and most of the hate is rightfully deserved, given the terrible music, the mostly lousy voice acting in the codec scenes from everyone that isn't David Hayter, and the ever so famous additions to the cutscenes. . ..there's plenty of reason to say "FUCK TWIN SNAKES". . .but it if there is one thing that Twin Snakes does better, it's Cam Clarke's performance as Liquid. He trumps his original performance in MGS ten fold.
Hopefully if MGS is geting remade yet again, on whatever kind of scale(I very much doubt it's going to materialize as a full on modern gen remake), getting to hear Cam Clarke yet again would be worth the purchase price alone. That, and the fact I"m sure Konami won't try skimping out on the VA's salary like in Twin Snakes, you could potentially have a remake better than the original as far as cutscenes or whatnot. The big question comes down to the music, though. TAPPY's score for the original MGS doesn't really sync with the rest of the series, yet it truly fits the original game so well. I'm rather conflicted with how I feel about if the music could be done justice in a modern remake. If they got Harry Gregson Williams involved, that might do the trick, but who knows--just thinking outloud hear.sigpic

Whew, and talk bout' them character models.
At least if they're considering a remake, it wouldn't be as rushed as Twin Snakes. I think the lousy voice acting was a result of them recording in some underground area where the cars/motorcycles would ruin their takes.
I think Harry Gregson-Williams could possibly pull off a good remake of the score. I mean the only thing we could rely on is Rex's Lair (2008 version) and Enclosure (2008 version).
