Hi,
This game is scary. I died on my first time playing it and I hadn't even got one page yet. Bastard was camping in the bath house area. I went to enter the area, static started up, and I ran in. He was hiding around the corner in one of the stalls. I turned the corner and it was game over.
Also I got up to page 7 and went to turn around, guess what? He was right behind me. Instant game over... I tell ye it may not look scary from the videos but it is scary when you play it. You kinda fear seeing him pop up.
Oh and here's the game, I hosted it on my site > www.zombie-x.com/Slender_v0.9.4.rar

Yo,
Same here. I had not heard about Slender Man before either but I read up on him. There are eye witness accounts, audio files, and some videos. I am skeptical but some stuff is convincing.

Tell you what after reading all the history about him I am dreading playing this game. I was scared to go out the back garden earlier to fetch the cat in. To this date there are only a handfull of things that freak me out and that is The Exorcist, IT, Silent Hill (When it was released on demo I was just a kid), Great White Sharks, 100 Feet (Disturbing film checkout the death scene on Youtube it has scared me for life) and Paranormal Activity...and now this.

The whole mythos is pretty creepy. My favorites are the qoutes from supposed eye witnesses.
"we didn't want to go, we didn't want to kill them, but its persistent silence and outstretched arms horrified and comforted us at the same time..."

If you actually go far back to the first photograph released, you should find out he originated from a Photoshop of a 'make and old photo creepy contest' on some misc site and when the guy made the photo of the kids in the park with Slenderman, he wrote a creepy story about how all of them died after the photo was taken by him. He is definitely a myth and there is no 'eye-witnesses' about it, but by god that does NOT make him any less scary. The whole idea behind it is horrifying.

It seems they've tried their best to make the character a mysterious myth that's been around for centuries (though it's brand spanking new) and have succeeded in some degree. I'm worried the film makers might wave off the guys who come forward as the original creators and label Slender Man as public domain."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

I find the game crap, not scary and the mythos it is based on one of the weakest by far.
I will point out I've never found any game scary, by the time games reach the visual level necessary for this to be remotely possible I was far too old, I've not found any movie scary for the same amount of time.
The mythos is weak due to not being very defined at all. "There is this guy, 6ft tall.....no wait, 7ft...no...9ft....this is this guy 15ft tall and he wears all black...er...I mean he might have a red tie...OH, and he was totally made up for a website".Beanovsky Durst - "They are not pervs. They are japanese."

To each his own Dracarys. No biggie.
Also guys, look up MarbleHornets on YouTube. It's a little web series that's about Slender Man. It's about some friend who start this film project called "Marble Hornets" for college. But stuff goes bad and they end up getting stalked by slender man. It's mor e or less like a little vlog, but these guys get stalked by him and damn the Slender Man suit looks awesome! The Slender Man in the series is a full body suit where in which the guy where's body extensions.

I'm a twisted little bastard, and I know it- so don't get to disturbed when I say this...
Even though I don't believe in this Slenderman myth, I wish it WAS true. Imagine how much more damn interesting life would be if stuff like this existed. Slenderman stalking the night? Cool. The weird wall dwelling creature from the X-files? Hell yes. In the same vein that a full on zombie outbreak somewhere in real life would be kind of cool (You can admit it, no judgement here), stuff like this would make life awesomely more involved.
Of course it is rather bemusing to see these dumbasses on youtube taking this crap for real. XD The school system has failed most of the new generation for sure.sigpic
