I just ordered a white PSP 2000 from Japan, a Datel pandora battery and some D-Terminal cables. So It looks like Ill be set for this Looking forward to getting videos of it!

The latest trailer makes me wonder about the story. In the opening video of the first 9 minutes, the FMV mentions how Spoiler:

Travis lost his parents and he doesn't remember how or why (though most is blocked by static, you can hear it pretty clearly) yet here we can see his younger self watching what is assumed to be his father after he hung himself.

I'm gonna guess his father is related to Silent Hill, possibly a cult member?

Dot, I heard the PANDORA battery does not work with the 2000 models, or was I misinformed?

I'm pretty sure you just need a spare battery to use as your Pandora Battery, and it's is indeed required to hack a slim. I'm debating whether to get one or not. I was going to next Wedensday when I was picking up Halo but i'm not sure now. UK, unlike the rest of Europe, only get black. I may import.

Whats the back story on that anyway? As far as I know Pandora's battery was made by using those files provided by that dude on assemblers board.

From Datel themselves, $25.00. Considering the official sony batteries are 39.99 here in stores for 2200 mah I figured it was worth it. Besides, its got the snazzy TOOL logo on it XD

Especially when you consider that I was planning on shipping a battery to Carnivol in Spain, and then pay for shipping back to me etc etc. This was the cheapest option for me. Nemesis, it works on the PSP 2000.

As far as I know, the Pandora files allow you to flash your PSP to run from both the battery and the power cable at the same time, giving the PSP the impression of a more powerful battery. So I think Pandora batterys are simply some form of flashed battery.

Also, megaton-ish Origins news. A patch has been released allowing you to more or less access anywhere in the demo. I have yet to try everywhere, but I was able to start at the beginning of the game and play through to the hospital. This means that the entire game is, indeed, on the demo, and this patch means that someone could make an entire playable version of the game from the demo.

I decided to not go any further than where the demo ends in the hospital. This game is coming so soon i'd rather wait than hamper the experience with the annoyance of patching ever area and starting with nothing in my inventory. It's bad enough that i've already listened to Akira's new tracks, semi spoiler

But yeah, the patching thing is way too tedious and I'd rather just buy the game and play it the way it was meant to be played.

I may have to agree that I'll have to by a PSP just for this game. From what I read the man you play is military trained in somewhat or another. Is there any sign of that in the demo?
