Now that you think abou it, no.
The ones I know arent entitled over themselves, example being Lisa - Not Tomorrow, Angela - Promise & Theme Of Laura Reprise.
I could be wrong, but these play when you meet them.

In all seriousness, Laura has 2 themes and a reprise. She's also the person we know least about.

Laura is and has to be a key component to Silent Hill 2. Without her, James couldn't carry on, could he? :3

As I said, my interpretation of her is being a watcher of Eddie, James and Angela.
She knows Eddie, she obviously would have met Angela, and of course knows James.
She in my opinion, is an incarnation of Mary's memories kept in Silent Hill.
And used like a Pyramid Head, but a watcher.

                Though these are thoughts.

Maria saw Laura, when she left Pete's Bow-O-Rama (in the mean time, James was talking with Eddie inside), and she thought that a monster-infested town isn't a right place for a little girl to be alone. That's why she wanted to find her.

Maria never meets Laura, mainly because Maria never exists. Let's not forget that Maria is a fragment of James' imagination. Maria never encounters any other characters within the story (except Pyramid Head, who is another fragment of James' imagination). Maria is a creationg of James, based on Mary but different from Mary in that she's much sexier and carnal, perhaps because James lusted for these during Mary's illness (we know this is true from the mannequin leg monster and what Pyramid Head does to them in several scenes).

So the only people Laura met in Silent Hill (during Silent Hill 2) were Eddie and James. Angela was in the town at the same time, though she doesn't seem to have met either Laura or Eddie. Does she actually say that the town is empty at any point? I'm finding it very weird that an innocent kid could get dragged into the fog realm of Silent Hill. Even if she was simply looking for Mary, why would Silent Hill put her here? Because James was there also? And I find it stange that both James and Laura were in Silent Hill looking for her at the same time.

To be honest, i'm starting to wonder if Laura is real at all. Only one thing keeps me from believeing she's just another fragment of James' imagination, and that's because Eddie can see her, and Eddie is real. When I say I doubt she's real, I mean, an orphan of Silent Hill. She was in the Brookhaven hospital with Mary. Should a kid really be kept with a terminally ill patient, with a fatal disease. I suppose it'd be alright if it wasn't contagious, but even so, shouldn't Laura have been kept within the kids ward?

I'm wondering if she could possibly have passed away in the hospital, and is then looking for Mary. That could explain why she's in the fog of Silent Hill. But it still doesn't explain how Eddie could have seen her. He was called to Silent Hill 'cause of the darkness in his heart although he hadn't fully acted upon it at that time (he had killed the dog and shot the owners leg, but hadn't killed a human yet, not until the toluca prison). There is no reason for Eddie to see Laura if she were dead. They have no significant relationship, unlike James and Laura who were connected through Mary.

Ugh, damn this topic. I need to friggin' know the answer now. Super Friggin' Yeah!

You have a huge point there, but also, thinking about it, Laura calls Eddie fat, he usually goes ballistik by then (shown by James asking a comment of "Are you nuts?"), he didn't do anything to her, yes, I know she's 8, but still...

I still say that the town is abandoned.

Laura is in the normal world where its just an empty town.
Eddie, Angela, and James are in each of their own psychotic representation of the town. With monsters.
                              Maria is in James' head.

I think Laura is real because Mary knew her and wanted Laura to be adopted by them. Laura was probably called to the town by accident or was called to help James.

The town is not abandoned. Silent Hill 1, 3 and 4 all tell us this. It's a quiet resort town, but people still live there.

I don't buy that, 'cause Silent Hill calls to the darkness in our hearts. It's not trying to help us, it's attempting to allow the darkness to engulf us.
