Well after the pure horror that was Silent Hill 5, I want the original left alone. All I can see now from this remake is an aweful pile of mess that should not exist.

Prays for a miracle that Team Silent returns.

R.I.P. Silent Hill - Dead but not forgotten.

Are WMV's normal for that, WMV is more a 360 kinda thing don't you think? Mind you i don't know enough about the PS3 to know how it encodes it's movies.

The original files weren't WMV on the disc as I recall, but the lengths are definitely 1:1. The files may have been provided for the the BBFC to review or they maybe the way the scenes are being presented on this version because the compression being used in the videos is cutting down the size of the item. I can't be sure.

It would make sense because the BBFC weren't rating games back then, it was ELSPA that handled it all.

Silent Hill has just been put up on the EU PSN store for PS3/PSP!!!

It's not on the US store and I'm waiting to see if it will pop up soon on the Aus store (where my wallet has some funds).

Edit: YUP! it's on the Aus store too.
            $8.45AU (that's about $5.50US)

^ Exactly as I expected, this is what the BBFC covered.

I'm up for this remake, just don't stick boogie man/ RPH in it otherwise i'd give up on the title.

Well, it's just the original Playstation title, downloadable and playable on both Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable. Nothing more, nothing less.

                          I'm not sure...
The PSN was experiencing technical difficulties yesterday, so I couldn't download it. I'll get it tonight.

I've only got and played the US PS1 disk. I didn't even know the PAL version was censored.
                          What was cut out?

The skinned children in the school were replaced by those mole things from the sewer. Anyway, wouldn't matter to me since I hear that PAL PS1 game downloads only work on PAL consoles.

If they remade Sient Hill for Wii, that would be amazing.
I do not have a PS3, and have been unable to play Silent Hill. But, I have seen the movies, and that was amazing. The video games are usually even better than the movies, so....I hope this rumor turns out to be true.

This is the PAL version. When I booted it up, I could pick the save game that was already on my PS3 from the last time I was playing the disc version.

And thankfully, it emulates at the proper speed on PSP, unlike a lot of the Popstation releases.
