How about getting the most money? *leaves it at that*

But one thing's for sure. They need Michael Gough back to voice Harry. Actually he's been in some good roles. ...And some not so good roles... *looks at Osmund Saddler and sighs, shaking head*

      Harry was Saddler? The shame.

In other news, if they do this and Pyramid Head appears in anything but a brief easter egg, I will hunt them down with a high powered rifle.

If the game references the movies in anyway, bar possibly visually, they will wake one day to find themselves surrounded by bear traps smothered in poison.

If they fuck up the story in anyway, shape or form they had better wish that Silent Hill is realn so they can escape there and escape the fate I have instore for them.

I feel strongly on this subject.

Yup, he was Saddler. Wasn't the first time that he's done a voice in the RE series either. Little known fact is that Michael G was also the voice of Chris Redfield in PlayStation Resident Evil 1. If you don't believe me... Replay the PSX edition of Castlevania SOTN and listen to Richter and then listen to Chris.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that in my post too Darkmoon, good chance they'll put PH in as some stupid random cameo like SHH. *rolls eyes*

Team Silent ceased to exist several years ago, basically dwindling after SH2 and dead after SH3. It's too much to repeat everything that happened, but there is an old thread about it all where I summed up the history from what was available online.

Why remake the first game when it still scares the shit out of me?

The name is displayed as "Charlie" as the actor on IMDB.

Yes, much as it is in the actual credits - a single name pseudonym, as are the names with all the original cast. But it's him.

When I first read the headline 'Silent Hill on Wii', I thought they might be porting that Arcade light gun game, as another Wii on-rails shooter... I was excited... It would have been better news.

I'm generally against remakes and I agree that remaking it to Wii/psp is rather pointless. It's not really much of an upgrade. The PSP is less powerful than the PS2. That's why the PS2 version of Origins had more detail in the character models. So, Silent Hill remake would be making *the giant leap* from PS1 to (nearly) PS2 standard. Wow!
They should just put the PS1 game on the PSN.
Okay, so the Wii version would be better but I generally just find the Wiimote controls annoying more than innovative.

Does this mean that later I'll be able to pick up the remake on PS2?
I enjoyed Origins on PS2. It's not brilliant but I thought it was a good little addition to the series.

^ That list is 1:1 of the PlayStation original, which means it's likely this is submission for the game to appear on the PSN for PSP/PS3.

That'd actually be very nice. I just threw Silent Hill on my PSP and the current emulation is all messed up. It seems like it's running without the hardware restrictions, meaning that everything runs way too fast. A pity, 'cause I was really looking forward to replaying this after going through Homecoming.

or what we think is a "remake" is only an enhanced re-release ?

This has confused me; the files are exactly the same, albeit being .WMV files.
A port? An enhanced port? Whatever it is, the latter would be nice while not ruining the original.

maybe they're converting most of the major scenes into CGI rendered videos ? ...

because most of the things listed there are weird ..

Just because there's a list of wmv files doesn't mean those are prerendered movies. Those could be normal in-game cut-scenes, but recorded and put into separate named files just so it would be easier for BBFC to watch them. I don't someone would make a CGI movie of Harry "unscrewing the plate".

Scott McCulloch voiced Chris in RE 1, he also potrayed him in the opening intro. Like Rombie said his filmography includes Castlevania.

Known for: Time Crisis, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Time Crisis II
