    News about the movie!

Davis Films producer Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody announced today that the stars of Silent Hill, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, and Deborah Kara Unger will return to join Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones") on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

Filming in Toronto, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on a screenplay by director Michael Bassett, who is joined by cinematographer Maxime Alexandre (The Crazies, Mirrors, The Hills Have Eyes).

Alexandre added: "With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of 'Silent Hill' than they ever dreamed possible. Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them."

=D That pic. I know this movie will inevitably be shit, but hey, I'll go through the waiting process with a notch of naive open-mindedness.

Color me more interested. Still don't care for 3D, but I'm surprised they've gone for the connected sequel. At least it looks like they're keeping the art design. Thats a bonus. I still think the original is one of the better VG movies, if they can make a sequel on par with it then I'll be happy enough I guess.

I'm not surprised there's no mention of Claudia. Still, nothing eye poppingly bad. Yet.

So his solution to fitting the two movies together is to literally push them together. Ugh.

Carrie-Ann Moss will play Claudia, Malcolm McDowell will play Leonard (Claudias father) and theres a new picture there too. Most promising pieces of casting so far and the atmosphere in the picture looks spot on. Dunno who the other guy is though, pointless love story alert.

...Well, beyond the fact that Leonard's face isn't ever shown, and the only "form" of his you see is this gigantic, mummified, thing. The guy's an intensely disturbing figure and goes a loooong way to give Claudia some empathy and depth as a character. I think the casting's good but I seriously hope his mystique doesn't get ruined from overexposure.

...Carrie Anne Moss? The fuuuuu? Well, she is able to play monotone.

The Good: Malcom McDowell makes everything he's in better.

                      The Bad:

Heather has a emo love interest?

                      The Ugly:
Hadida and Carmody most recently produced Resident Evil: Afterlife starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter and Wentworth Miller. Past collaborations include Resident Evil: Apocalypse and the earlier Silent Hill.
For some reason that scares the shit outta me.

Oooh, you are really gonna hate this then. That "emo love interest" is Vincent.

Well...there goes THAT character. From cunning maniac to teen love interest. Owww. I hope he still dies a slow and horrible death from stabbing at the end, but I suspect the power of love may save him.
