We're doomed the same way the rest of the world is...in that we cant get along with eachother as well as we should and still force one religion or another on eachother in some way that causes problems for everyone.

But even though I have some issues with the president, I admire his stance on gay rights as well as him getting the health care Bill passed(Dont quite like the mandate, but somethings gotta give. ya know?).

The fact that Mitt Romney has lost the presidency gives me some hope that things might improve for us, as well as the rest of the world in 2013.

I was honest to Heaven terrified of Romney. The man was either an imbecile or a nutcase, or possibly both. I know we joke about telling a politician is lying because his mouth is open, but I've never seen it more true than in that guy. I was seriously worried he was going to get into power and cause this bloody recession to last an extra five years because of his dumb assness. The man is already reviled in most of the rest of the world - having him in power would have been a real negative for the US' international relations.

Obama's not perfect, but frankly I'd still trade him for any ten of the UK politicians you care to name.

Yeah. I'm currently looking for a job, and as a guy with one working leg the job market is...thin. Romney's economic fun time 'Lets make me even richer' plan would probably have extended this damned recession.

Also, we have a number of non-white, Christian, straight rich people in the UK. As far as I can tell from Romney's interviews, that may well have been grounds to invade.

Are you earning a very fat paycheck? like the kind that would make you hide some of that cash at the Cayman Islands? If so I would understand your fear and feeling all stressed out of being taxed by Obama.

Now, it would be quite funny that you would think that under Romney you would've fared better if you were in the middle class or in the low income bracket.

Romney was very sketchy on the issue of tax cuts for the middle class and low income ppl (with the poor, Ryan pretty much told them to go fuck themselves). Romney was either claiming to provide them w/tax cuts and then telling them that they shouldn't expect any big cuts. Then, he was saying that it will all be up to Congress, not him. And if it is all up to Congress... well, early this year we had Congress dragging its feet to act on extending tax cuts to the middle class and small businesses. So there is that.

Just don't move to Canada like some GOP'ers are threatening to do. Those guys up there are even more "Socialist" than the US. They have (near) universal healthcare, they restrict gun ownership, abortion is legal and Christian wackos are not tolerated in positions of power (unless you're the Queen of England). Plus they pay more TAXES. And gas prices are higher than in the US. In short, Canadians laugh at us when some of us go into America is D000M3D mode.

Henry Savile wasn't a confirmed molester until he was dead, wasn't he? I know that's when most of his victims publicly announced what he did, but I cant quite recall.

I'm not comparing who is the biggest pedo-sponsor here. I only think that just because the Queen of England honored one child molester (who in turn molested several kids and invited several other child molesters to do the same in his infamous 'sex parties'), she should not get a pass.
