  • I got back from seeing Toy Story 3 and by god this is my favorite movie now. Its got action, romance, comedy and a little horror in there (a figure in there just looks plain creepy).

And my favorite toy(s) the Little Green Men make an appearance too. I think I'm gonna go see it again tomorrow. I give it 12 out of 10.

I'm also going to get a LGM and put him on my dashboard in my car lolol.

This film is superb. Like all the other Stanley Kubrick films. there is a feel to it that you can't explain, the mood and pacing of it are excellent.

Saw it at a midnight scrrening. Oh my goodness, movie was delightfully epic. No, seriously, EPIC. With some really, really smart storylines, cleverly placed jokes, gorgeous animation, and good 'ol nostalgia, the movie is spectacular. Hell, at times, it was even God-damn frightening. Remember that baby-rover-pin-head doll thing from the first movie? Fuck that there's something even worse. It really was a joyful thing to see, even if it started an hour late due to the sound problems. However, seeing all these older people (who most likely grew up with Toy Story) kinda warmed my heart. TS3 is worth it, trust me. The trailers do it no justice (in my opinion, the trailers fell flat compared to the movie). Seriously one of the best movies so far this year. Oh shit I'm so giddy right now. Afafafafafafffffa.
I've really been wanting to see this, but all my friends are like "Dude, that's a kid's movie." I know it isn't, but you know how some people are: They get an idea in their head and it sticks. I find it hard to believe there is anything freakier than that spider-baby-head thing from the first one. Some of Sid's toys were nothing short of demented and evil.

        Shutter Island

I am by no means a Leonardo DiCaprio fan. I find his acting to be a bit on the superficial side, but this movie was surprisingly good. I was under the impression that this was sort of a supernatural/suspense type of movie, but in actuality it's more of a psychological thriller. If you pay attention to the signs throughout the movie, you can pretty much figure out what is going on.

        [8.5/10]

I saw it and agree 100% with what you said. Everything about this film is amazing. Thank the maker we have kids in our family because I don't think I would've seen TS3 at all. It's not the kind of film I gravitate to.

Lucky for me, with this film Pixar were actually catering to the adults that grew up with this franchise. It deals with some pretty deep shit that will probably only truly resonate with mature teens and adults.

The plot is about dealing with change. Moving from one state of life to the next. Like when you go to college or when one gets dumped at the old folks home when you're no longer needed or wanted. That sort of thing. If you look closely, you'll even notice the symbolic use of the caterpillar and the butterfly. Look for that at the Sunnyside day care facility.

Basically, TS3 is like an extended version of that sequence in Toy Story 2 where Jessie the cowgirl remembers how she was once loved and eventually, outgrown by her owner.

However, the 3D is pretty useless with this film. If you can see the film in 2D, save yourself some cash because this film barely makes use of the 3D element at all. Just see it in 2D. You won't miss a thing if you do.

Well Jessie did say "It's like Emily all over again!"

Saw it for a second time with a few friends...and if anything it was a better movie when you have people to laugh with. Totally loved it.

Also saw Knight and Day yesterday with the same friends I saw A-Team with...and...meh...I would have rather gone back to see delicious Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson. Knight and Day was just...bland. There was nothing truly interesting or funny about it. Every "big" action scene is in the trailers, and though the movie is a decent length, it just seems to drag on. Perhaps my disappointment was also because I would have rather seen Toy Story 3.

Still one of the best films from the Coen brothers.

                              • I saw Get Him to The Greek about a week ago...very funny shit. I was also really, really high so I don't know if the movie was that funny or if it was just kinda funny and I was retarded. It was another one of those "so stupid it's funny" movies, but not without good acting. Russell Brand and Jonah Hill were great together, but P. Diddy gave the most surprising performance. He was really funny. I definitely wanna see it again.
