  • ^ Some movies are just like that. You're left to take what you want from it or not. Unlike most though, it leaves plenty of hints for potential answers rather than none at all... which is always worse. Additionally the other benefit the film has is if you ignore all of that, it's still a good tense heist film.

    • I rewatched Inception recently, and I think that the whole story about the corporate espionnage is very well done and it's very clear during the second view. But honestly, the story between Cobb and his family is just confusing because we know that he's unreliable. Some scenes don't make sense between Cobb and Mall.

I agree with you member of STARS, I had the same feeling.

So with Joker in Arkham did someone say chance of Harlequinn?

Agreed. The cast of characters was perfect. Probably have a sequel.

          • I rewatched Babylon A.D. last night and once again I found it to be a blast all the way through until the end. What a let down the ending was just so rushed! it actually felt like The director wanted to go on holiday so he quickly wrapped up the film!

Straight after this I watched House Bunny haha, I actualy found this film pretty funny even if it is a chick flick.

I picked this up at Best Buy because it was previewed on one of my Family Guy DVD sets and looked moderately interesting. It was pretty much what I expected in regards to overall enjoyment: Nothing too serious, not really any stellar performances...Just your average dude-type movie. The only real complaint I had about it is the acting at times just seemed REALLY fake. Other than that, if you enjoy movies like EuroTrip and American Pie, you'd probably find this alright.

                The Lovely Bones

For a sort-of-girly movie, this is surprisingly not bad. I actually enjoyed it so much that I watched it twice within the same week. The general premise is a young girl is murdered by one of her neighbors, she gets trapped in a limbo-like "heaven," and she watches over her family as they deal with her murder. It really has an Alice in Wonderland kind of feel to it...

                • Expendables...was the best action film I've ever seen with what the bodies flying everywhere due to shotguns and the machine gun cannon...yes I did say cannon, watch it to find out. The headshots weren't really headshots they were more like headsplosions. All in all if you feel like you are in the mood for brutal violence, give this action film a shot.

                  • I thought Expendables was the biggest waste of my time since Crank 2. It's just a bunch of washed up action heroes saying crappy one liners. Some cool action scenes but the cringe worthy one liners and bad humour just made me want to get up and walk out. I had to go for 3 cigaretes throughout the film because it really did get on my nerves that bad. I used to love Sly but now I just want to punch him in his big fat face.

                    • Inception 9/10

The plot was intriguing and the action scenes were well directed. With better performances and better dialogue I would have rated it a 10.

                      • I feel that Sly is falling off the rails again. He got out of the oblivion he was in and came back to make a couple of decent films. But The expendables was such an unnecessary project that adds absolutely nothing to the genre or even his career. And he’s already talking about a sequel.

I know he’s having fun with that film. But IMO he should be doing something relevant. Because anything he does at the twilight of his career is what most ppl are going to remember him by.

I know he’s been trying to get a movie made about Edgar Allan Poe. Why not pursue that? He’s not getting any younger.

                          Finally playing 1.5. Woo-Hoo!!!

Jason Statham isn't washed up, not yet any way.

Anyway I liked the expendables, I thought it was great entertainment. You could tell that the film didnt take it self seriously with all of the bad one liners and over the top action. Not sure If it needs a sequel though since there wasn't really much of a story and I couldn't imagine the next film being any different from the first except maybe having bigger explosions and such. One thing I will say however is that some of the fire effects weren't quite up to the standard I'd expect from a film as big as this

                            • I just watched "GAMER" what the hell was that??!?!?!

oh my god I could not stop laughing. It was trying to be to many things, and just came out stupid.

The only thing I liked was how many big stars were in it (or what I considder big) Dexter (Michael C Hall) from Dexter, Doomsday (Sam Witer) from Smallville/the Force Unleashed, Nathan from Heroes, the black dude who plays Halo Captin keys voice/and Mass Effect, and poor John Leguizamo. My god, did they all need money quick or something? just horrible.

I didn't know that movie had Sam Witwer in it...I loved him in Smallville, The Force Unleased, and that ever so brief part he had in Dexter. I may have to investigate this movie farther when it drops drastically in price. I've heard too many negative things about it to run out and buy it for $10+.

                                Cowboy Bebop

I've seen bits and pieces of this anime for about 5 years now, but never actually sat and watched it from start to finish. I have to say that it and Berserk are really the only two anime I can stand. To me, 90% of anime is just stupid...The stories, the style...*shudders*...It just isn't my thing, but Cowboy Bebop I am very impressed with. I love how they mix stories up a bit. One day we have something jammed full of action, blood, violence...And then we can shift gears completely to a sentimental love story...And the best part is: It works EXTREMELY well for this show

I've got one more disc to watch, but still...Awesome anime.

I'm probably giong to go see The Last Exorcism today...Yay, I cannot wait [/sarcasm]...My friend has such poor taste in movies, but then again there really isn't anything out, so I can't complain too much...
