  • A Nightmare on Elmstreet (2010) - It was ok, but ya know ... Michael Bay says it all. Not worth a buy. Liked Thomas Dekker in it. 6/10

The Last Exorcism - The exclusive premiere in Munich with Eli Roth as special guest. Short review: The movie is SO overrated. Almost everything in this movies has been done before. Don't get the hype behind it . 5/5
Eli Roth's assistant was an ass. The people in the crowd were kinda dorks because they were actually going on about how the trailer did not resemble what you saw in the film. get over it.

The Other Guys - This movie was preented in an exclusive sneek preview. It was so freakin crazy! The gags came on and on and it was pretty funny. The humor had some downsides for me at some point. It was just very clishee - I always ask myself if people actually notice this? Anyway 5/10

The Fourth Kind (with Milla Jovovich)
    - The story to this film was told very nicely, but theese kind of movies always leave a bitter aftertaste. I'd like to believe in aliens and such, but I always keep thinking that people make theese things up.... or are they? Nice movie, though. 6.5/10

          • I watched Kirot (The Assassin Next Door) last night.
I was expecting a brainless action movie featuring one of my favorite actress, Olga Kurylenko, as main character, but not. I enjoyed the story that was told.

            • The last film I saw was The Great Train Robbery in my Intro to Film class. I actually quite enjoyed it despite its age; there's just something about it that is endearing to me as an American (it being one of the first true American films certainly helps). That and the gunslinger "shooting" the audience in the end is lol-worthy.

Heh, I'm a film studies major, and I just saw it two weeks ago. I had that gunslinger as my avatar for a while.

I've seen a lot of cool shit since the beginning of this semester. Among them,
-Kurosawa's Throne of Blood (a retelling of Macbeth) is a sparse but atmospheric as all get out drama, Toshiro Mifune is as always an absolute theatrical sage.
-Beat Takeshi's Sonatine just feels edenic for a gangster movie. The beach scenes have such a lush yellow-green-blue tint, a nice contrast to the deliberately emotionless performances.
-The Red Shoes, Black Narcissus, and Peeping Tom are proof of Michael Powell/Emeric Pressburger's wide-reaching influence and their visionary grandeur.
-Chocolate is a giant leap for the director of Ong Bak, with rounded, endearing characters to go with the awesome stunts.
-A History of Violence. This movie is the definition of the term "tight." The acting (especially from William Hurt, Ed Harris, and Vigo Mortenson) is razor sharp, there's not one scene that doesn't serve a purpose/move the plot forward, and the overlying small town lethargy are testaments to Cronenberg's directing prowess. The guy has come a long way and he ain't done.

I never heard of Olga Kurylenko. So I googled her and got a lot of nudie pictures as a result.... No wonder she's your favorite actress.

Then I realized she was in Quantum of Solace... The Bond movie everyone around made sure I would never see. They kept telling me it sucked ass. When the flick was released on DVD I went to Blockbuster/RedBox kiosk and whenever I tried to rent it, I would be out-voted and we would rent something else instead. So I'm presently hoping some damn channel will show it on TV so I can make up my own mind over how bad this film is.

                  Anyway, Olga Kurylenko looks hot.

Greed is still good. Douglas and Brolin were outstanding and Labeouf wasn't so bad either.

Hey, I didn't like her only because of her nude pictures...
                      But, anyway, she's hot.

Just saw her on Centurion... I like it too. So I liked Quantum of Solace...

                      • Devil was good but it led to me screaming at six douchy middle school kids, who of course, only laughed because THEIR SO AWESOMEEZZZ.

So I'm not going to the movie theatre for awhile, if ever again. Sending someone in to stand there for two minutes does not help them shut up for good. I'm sick of the common moviegoing idiot who ohhs and ahhs at everything and giggles like a retarded hyena at everything in a movie.

                        • ^^^^ Those kids probably smoked weed before going in the theater.

Weed increases the dopamine in your brain and you will laugh at anything. Even at Dane Cook jokes.

I believe there was even a Simpson's episode about that. The one where Homer needs to get high on weed to laugh at Mr. Burns lame jokes.

                              • Spartacus: Blood & Sand

This is by far one of the best TV shows I've run across in a while. It has a lot of elements I like: blood/gore and interesting story, to name a few. The sexual elements in the show are a little over the top, and I do get tired of hearing the word "cock" used at least 10 times per episode (The sad thing is, I am not exaggerating this at all...It is used CONSTANTLY). And when someone gets killed in the show, it is graphic. It isn't one of those shows where you see a little bit of blood ooze out. Oh, no, you see the intestines and all the internal goodness poor out in the gladiator arenas.

It's a bit of a shame though since Andy Whitfield (the dude who plays Spartacus) has some form of cancer which resurfaced meaning he won't be reprising the role any time soon. The show is pretty much in limbo at the moment, and I am pissed I may or may not be getting a second season. I really don't want them to change the actor, so I'm hoping that the cancer goes back into remission and we can get this show back on the road.

Excellent, EXCELLENT show. You! Go buy it now!
