  • Just about to start my three and a half hour video run watching lawrence of arabia. This is an instant classic from the 1960s, and what a great to reflect my Egyption visit with this film. Would reccomend this to anyone who loves classic war films or likes to know a bit of history.

    Update: Excellent film.

    • Just got back from watching Buried, I dont recomend this film to anyone who is really claustrophobic. It was quite enjoyable but the ending in my mind took the wrong direction. The film went for the over the top, twist, shock ending and it just came across cheap. I think they tried to be to clever for their own good. Sometimes you just got to give the people what they want and this film didnt deliver in the end.

      • Saw Black Swan yesterday.

It was beautiful. A piece of cinematic art. It definitely deserves movie of the year at the Oscars. I left the theater absolutely stunned.

I want to see that movie really bad. I saw Scott Pilgrim last night, blew my mind. I never read the book so I didn't know it had a video game style to it, which I LOVED. Knives was so cute

Now I see why everyone was going on about it for months lol. Good stuff.

          • True Grit

Tremendous Coen brothers film; I've seen a handful of their stuff and I enjoy it, but some of their famous flicks such as Fargo, Raising Arizona, and Blood Simple still need a viewing. This one will definitely motivate me to do so. Most of it moves at a relaxing pace and the tension works nicely, pretty much like "quick draw;" the stand-off dialogue feels as understated and as the rest of the flick, and then BANG, you're on your toes. Great scenery throughout, the long shots add to the drawn out tone. As expected, Jeff Bridges plays the role like it's second nature, and Matt Damon's a likable foil. Like the Coens' other dramas, there's a fine level of comedy that doesn't draw a needless amount of attention to itself.

Oh come on, it wasn't as bad as other sequels. Hell at least it got the same cast and has a similar flow. Sure I wanted to punch Romeo in the face a few times, but I give it 5/10.

                • I just whached both Scrooge 1951 a cupple of hours back my god it's been years since I last saw it and it's still a classic and I whached this before that George C. Scott's A Christmas Carol 1984 I put my hands on my chest and will say both Alastair Sim and George C. Scott are Scrooge there is no dout about it they one only two I personly think both take it serious with out going over the top or over acting if anyone has seen both films you will understand what I mean but they both brillant films and they get you into the Christmas mood.

                  10/10 for both

                      • Eh, according to the shops, TV and such Chrismas started about two and a half months ago. A couple of extra days for those who couldn't get here on the day isn't gonna kill anyone.

...although I might if it starts a full three months next year.

I watched it on Christmas Eve, but I didn't have access to a computer at the time.

                          • Has anyone seen the new Narnia movie? If so what do you think about it?

Considering to check it out at the cinema tonight.

Edit: I saw it. I thought it was terrible, I liked the first two much more.
