I saw Killing Them Softly last night.
Ho. Lee. Shit.
Emphasis on Shit. You'd think a movie starring Brad Pitt, Sam Shepard, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta would be amazing. It just sounds great on paper.
Somehow, it turned to complete and utter trash. Holy god. Brad Pitt's character was awesome, but even he couldn't save this shitstain of a film. I'm just so glad these movie tickets were free. The best part of the movie was the concession stand guy giving us three cups, then going to fill our Hobbit popcorn bucket (free refills until April), then my dad coming out from the bathroom and taking his drink to go fill it, the guy coming back and not realizing what happened, and giving us another cup thinking he'd forgotten one. $4.75 free, and it was nice since four people went (mom, dad, my boyfriend and myself) so mom and dad got what they wanted instead of sharing one cup.
I cannot stress enough. That was the best part of the movie.
I give it a 2/10. It would be 1/10, but Brad Pitt's character and acting bring it up a point. Everything else about the movie just hurt so bad.
