I saw the first Transowners at least 10 times and loved the movie. ROTF however... what a letdown.
Cool - thanks for the heads up. I also enjoyed the first Transformers film, but the second time I watched it, I ended up just skipping amongst the robot fight scenes as the human melodrama was just plain boring. Plus, I hate that Shia Lawhateverhisnameis kid.

I've heard nothing good about ROTF, which is why I refrain from seeing it.

As for those of you braving the Harry Potter films...good on ya. I watched the first one at the request of my cousin, and found it "meh." I started the second one and stopped it right around the part where the kids were toiling with some sort of screaming plants. Guess I'm just too old for that shite.

The first 2 movies are kind of like... introduction to the Harry Potter universe. Theres this kid-like aura around everything and the movies seem lighthearted. The maturity and seriousness is progressive, though. It seems to me that once youve seen all of the movies, youll appreciate the whole series and individual movies alike, a lot more. It does require a lot of willpower and pride-swallowing to actually sit down through all of them.

Then again, my nr.1 motivator to seeing them was Snapes. Watching Hans Gruber in his emo days was worth it.

        *complete utter shock*

MOS admitting he was wrong? I need to take a screen shot of this.

Ive seen the first 5 Harry Potter films. They are ok films. I like the 2nd and 3rd the best. 1 and 4 are ok. I really didn't like 5 though and wont be seeing 6. They just skipped way to much I think. Ive already read the books and have a vivid imagination. All the movies do is show the battles on screen now. I can do that in my head.

I don't like how they get a new director for every film though. It leaves inconsistency's.

Which of the films have you seen so far MOS? And Snape was very good in the films.

Actually, I thought 6 was very faithful to the book. Sure, some stuff got left out but I don't think it really ruined it....they could've spent more time of the whole Who is the Half-Blood Prince thing though, my one problem with the climax of the film was that when
            Spoiler:
revealed he was the HBP, it didn't really have much of an impact....

Oh, and there's not even any actual battles in six. All the action scenes are basically "OH NO, EVILZ! DEY BE DESTROYING STUFF!" Works well though.

Oh, and Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix <3 Bestill my heart.

Oh, spoiler spoilered just in case.

            ----

Bring It On was on TV last night so I ended up watching that. I'd say it's a guilty pleasure but.....it's really not. It's a very funny film and hell, I'm not going to pass up a chance to see Eliza Dushku in a) a film and b) in a Cheerleaders outfit.

So 6 is more like the first HP films were there is more of a focus on he story? Well that's good then. I'm still not gonna see it in cinema's but I might rent it on DVD when it comes out.

Lol, I actually watched that last night too. It first came out when my hormones were absolutely raging as a 6th grader. I used to love that movie, and Kirsten Dunst's breasts. Short skirts are great.

                • Bring it on is a good movie. I remember watching it years ago.

Ive just recently seen a film called The Robe, directed by Henry Koster. It was released in 1953. It's very good, I haven't seen all of it yet, but Ill watch the ending as soon as I can. It's about a Roman Tribune who gets sent to Judea by Emperor Caligula because he saved a slave from being made into a Gladiator. The Slave accompanys him there. When they arrive they hear news of some sort of new king or messiah about the arrive. The tribune takes no notice and goes about his duties as a roman official. His slave however seeks out this king and tries to find him, and see's him riding into town and becomes a follower. Eventually the Slaves master, the tribune. Gets assigned by Pilate as the unit to execute this new king. And that's were I am up too. It's got a nice biblical twist and it's filmed brilliant;y and the way they portrayed slavery was very well done and is not something you would see in a modern movie. I think I like this older style much better. Ill have o go see the rest soon.

                    • I finished seeing The robe. Brilliant Brilliant film. I wish they made more films like that today. The story was very interesting and I recommend you see it even if your not a fan of classic films. The only weak point is the acting could be considered a little melodramatic in parts. But that didn't bother me at all really.

                      Id give it a 9/10.

I also finally got myself a copy on Indiana Jones 4. And I did love it. I don't know why Indy 2 and Indy 4 get so much hate. Sure Indy 1 and Indy 3 were better but by no means do 2 and 4 suck. It's like 1 and 3 are 10/10, 2 and 4 are 9/10. I really did like all the Indy films, Nazi's or no Nazi's. Also Kate Blanchets Dr Irina Spalko character was quite mesmerizing I thought. She stole the screen in her every appearance. I really did love her character. She was my favorite throughout the entire film.

                        • There is no Indiana Jones 4. The series is only a trilogy, and a trilogy it shall forever remain.

Saw G.I. Joe this past weekend and thought it was awesome. It was pretty much everything I could want from a live action adaptation of one of my favorite cartoons/comics growing up. I enjoyed it more than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, for that matter.

ROTF had better action, but G.I. Joe didn't have any of the ridiculous gags and "humor" that made ROTF so embarassing to watch. Yes, Joe had its fair share of eye-rollers, but nothing that made me facepalm like I did while watching ROTF.

Well I like Sci Fi. So the Rosewell Alien storyline thing interested me. I found it enjoyable anyway.

I don't hate Shia yet, but I'm not fond of him either. But I can stand him.

I liked the first film. But the second was crap I agree. Have you seen Disturbia? He's very good in that though. I think it was his first film.
