  • Well I was finally able to watch Avatar and i have to say that I was pretty impressed with it. The CGI was incredible, the story, although not ground breaking was fun, epic and quite heart warming. Some brilliant action scenes in the film too. When I first started watching the film I have to say that i was surprised how slow it was to start up. There weren't any huge action scenes until near the end of the film.

    • I finally saw Avatar.

      Sam Worthington is hot.
      That's about it.

      OH and Zoe Saldana <3 Even though she was blue and altered to look like an alien, I still saw her beauty! I SAW IT!

      • ^ In his most recent movies, he's been wearing some pretty revealing shit (Avatar, obviously, and CoTT, short skirt and all). Kind of distracting. Not that I mind, really.

        I just saw the adaption/remake/quasi-sequel Alice In Wonderland. It was decent. Helena Bonham Carter's and Anne Hathaway's acting was great (especially Hathaway and her crazy side). The sets were amazing (The Red Queen's Moat and The White Queen's Castle, for example), and the effects were rather good (saw it in 2D, though D: ). However, some story points could have been stronger. I mean, the story itself wasn't too bad, but it's execution was really irky. They tried to fit too many things at once, which made many scenes very, very anti-climatic. Also, it seemed as though they tried a little too hard to cater to young audiences, especially the Hatter's little groove at the end. It seemed rather pointless.

        All in all, it was enjoyable, but not something to think as a deep movie. Glossy outside, chewy middle, and stale center.

            • Iron Man 2.

              A step down from its predecessor, though far from a bad popcorn flick.

              Don't leave the threater when the film ends, watch the credits......

                • The Nightmare on Elm Street remake, and boy did it blow. More than I thought. I figured the characters would be useless and Freddy is all we care about, but this movie was terribly boring.

                  I also alternatively named it, "Jump Scare: The Movie"

                  • ^ Was it really that bad? I mean, I didn't expect it to better than the original, but I thought it'd at least be... decent. At least better than Freddy v. Jason, right? Please, please.

                      Actually...>> I don't think so...

                      I mean it was like the Psycho remake. Almost frame for frame in most aspects, but not memorable, not interesting, dull and tries to use jump scares as being 'scary' and to wake the audience up. The protagonists and story is that boring, to where the lame jump scares, actually had to keep me awake.

                              It's all too familiar... ;~;

                              Not to mention just the story of Hachiko makes me tear up, let alone either of the movies.

                                Yeah, we're going to watch Hachiko later today (my Mother hates Richard Gere, but she'll sit through a film about dogs).

                                (Though, it reminds me to buy new copies of the novels as my copies are battered and worn-out).

                                They're good, but they're far too damn sad because every dog film.. you know it's coming. ;_;
