Originally posted by Agent_Wong View PostWent to the drive in and saw Thor last night, it was a decent movie. At the very least they confirmed our suspicions about there being an Avengers movie. Next on the movie list is Green Lantern. I refuse to see X-men on the grounds that they are already changing story elements they laid down in Wolverine...
Look at The fantastic 4 films, Dare Devil, Ghost Rider, X-3, Spiderman 3, the Punisher films.
So far they've only had 5 films that haven't been crap,Thor, two X-men films, and two Spiderman films.
This X-men film looks then times better than X-3 and Wolverine combined.
You're better off forgetting Wolverine happened, everyone who saw has.

none of the x men or spiderman movies have been done by marvel productions company. when they sold the rights to them they had no idea that they would be opening a production company. the contracts state that if a new movie isn't made within five years the film rights revert back to marvel, thats why we saw the wolverine movie, this upcoming spiderman movie and this "First Class" that doesn't have any of the original x men in it.
But marvel does own the rights to all the iron man, captain america, hulk and thor movies thats why those movies are truer to the comics. I think they should do a Sgt Fury movie, everyone loves killing nazis.
Stan Lee is the man 'nuff said.

So the script had to be condensed down to what it was, which was mediocre.
The one thing I hated the most about the film was the directing, but again not entirely the directors fault as their shooting schedule was also trimmed down to slightly less than 2 months. Thats not as much time as it sounds like really.
Basically this film was almost set up to fail by the Studio, I could see a lot of what they were trying to do with the film, but it just never really got there.

I just went to see the the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides with a
friend, brother and his girlfriend.
It was pretty good for an already going stale franchise with it's smart comedy which I
love.
I just love Cpt. Barbossa in every movie.
Then we just had a blast after the movie quoting and imitating him a lot of his lines
from the previous movies.
Arrrggh! xD

Just finished watching The Tunnel, a totally FREE horror movie that was actually pretty damn good! It's like a combination of Creep and REC, if you like abandoned underground tunnels and the "found footage" genre then you'll really enjoy this. I generally don't like the whole "found footage" thing and i enjoyed this, was really tense and kept me on the edge of my seat! You can download it totally legally for free and if you like it there is the option to buy it or just donate some money. Check it out here - http://vodo.net/thetunnel
