Well let me detail it a bit more. If you like your Borne filmes, or your Quantum of Solace, relentless action from start to finish. Then I'll go as far as to say you'll find Skyfall disappointing, slow and boring.
If you like your action a little more steady, and patient, then it's a revelation for modern action cinema. The fact that it has great characters, superb acting, wonderful villian and some nice surprises is the cherry on the top. Sam Mendes has seriously done the franchise proud, and I hope and pray the rumours are true he's being tempted to come back for Bond 24.
Well I consider the original Alien as one of the best films from the 70's and yet anyone born in the last 2 decades thinks that flick is 'slow and boring'. And I cannot stand the Transformers films with their wall-to-walk action and shaky camera. So maybe Skyfall is exactly what the doctor ordered.
We'll see.

This is the doctor, I order you to see Skyfall...if you fail to see Skyfall then I'll prescribe an enema...and by enema I mean you have to marathon the Twilight movies.
If your coming from an Alien background Pik then I think you'll enjoy Skyfall, the pacing is about on that level. (Bar a hugely action packed pre-credits, but to be honest that feels like a goodbye to all the silly shit Quantum had).
Skyfall was good but flawed. I found the first hour quite slow and dull. It didn't really build up to anything and felt on parallel with the disappointing Quantum of Solace and had Bond trekking around the globe looking for leads into who attacked M16 just the same as he was looking for leads on the Quantum organisation in the previous film. The stuff in Shanghai was all rather dull in my opinion. The eventual reveal of the villain is also disappointing after such a long build up and i find nothing special about him. His 'party trick' was just pointless.
However, the third act is where this film comes into its own and switches from a generic action piece to something very different we've never seen in a Bond film before, so I applaud Sam Mendes for trying something new.
A good film but not amongst the best. Craig is starting to show his age now. He is an OK bond but no Tim Dalton!
Lol. Which one? I only saw Cabin in the Words, the part at the end was quite funny because it was so ridiculous.. but yeah probably not actually a movie. I had also watched Red Lights before that, that's also not a real movie...
Certainly raises the bar for future Bond flicks, not a big fan of the third act though. In a weird way it reminded me of Home Alone and I think we learned a little more than we should about Bond's past. Craig was great as always but like BatMan said he is no Dalton.
Pusher 3: I'm the angel of death
Now this is good cinema. It's perhaps the best of the trilogy achieving the directors goal of showing the complexity of the criminal lifestyle.
