Better than I thought it was going to be, a true return to form for Guy Ritchie.

          • well i went to the movies with my friend last weekend,we had a choice of seeing death race or max payne, i wish we choose death race.

max payne had some pretty cool scenes and all, but it was kind of weird, and lots of meaningful stares in to the distance scenes, and to many symbols everywhere, like how ther was snow in every scene and then it turned to fire embers when certain things happened, kind of weird.

maybe ill have to play through the games first to get it more.

            ill give it about 4/10.

              • Last night, I listened to Ridley Scott's audio commentary on the BR Final Cut. Honestly, I could listen to that man for hours. Fascinating stuff, though not quite up to the level of information that Paul M. Sammon goes through on the Workprint. That man knows just about everything about it, and RoboCop too! I was astonished to see him in this RoboCop documentary I watched, talking at length about the actual RoboCop costume. I'd love to meet the man.

                • I don't really like how they've carried the Saw series on. I think it should have ended with 3. Jigsaw and his apprentice dead. That was what the films were about; Jigsaw. The first film is brilliant, the second one was okay, the third one was good but very gruesome.

                  • I couldn't really stomach Saw. Too vulgar. Too crude.

                    • The first one really wasn't that bad. The only sick part was towards the end of the film. The story was really good and interesting. Saw 2 and 3 were very sick and I found it difficult to stomach the third one, it kind of ruined it for me, very sick with little story, just for the thrill factor. The first one will always be the best. Nothing on Ridley Scott and Gladiator though, eh?

                        • IMO saw didn't have enough gore, i was not satisfied with it, after hearing about how cool it was for years i rented the first two, i liked the story, but NOT ENOUGH BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!

                          • Oh God.

Anyhoo... tomorrow my school is going on an end-of-term excursion to the movies to see some Rob Schnieder film called "Big Stan". It's a comedy, and I've never heard of it before. Afterwards, I'm gonna part with the school group, and while they swim in a muddy shithole called Lake Placid (no relation to the film), I'm gonna be seeing Quantum Of Solace. Booyah

                              - The House on Haunted Hill (the remake)
Boring as hell. It's not new to me. It was a lot more interesting when I was like, 12, but this time around I struggled to stay awake and eventually everyone agreed to just turn it off.

                              - Wall-E
Was a lot better than I expected. I'm usually not into Disney/Pixar animated movies.

                              - Harold and Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay
                              and
                              - College
                              Were both funny and gross.

I loved it. I thought it was much better than the first film and as everyone will say you can see Del Toro's visionary style which is definitely a plus. My only problem was no explanation for why Liz's flames are now orange and not blue (unless I missed that) and that's pretty much it.
