Stubborn stains

This laptop is two days old and already it has about 70 viruses and spyware on it, which came from God-knows-where. I'm trying to use AVG Free and Spybot Search And Destroy, but it's not killing the viruses.

Any suggestions?

that happened to my laptop when i got it, had to take it to a store and the completely wiped everything off it which was a pain but it got rid f the virus

Well, I'll try HouseCall once I've updated Java, but I don't want any extra anti-virus programs. AVG does a good job, it seems. I've got it and Spybot's TeaTimer telling me about any infections, while running constant scans. I've set Spybot to deny any registry changes, which helps quite a bit.
