I am fucking happy. You can tell, because I post in this thread about once a year. The reason: (I'm going to tell you the whole story just because I'm glad to be typing on a working computer again). A couple of weeks ago I got the infamous "System security 2009" virus, or something like that. Basically it forces a fake anti-virus software program onto your desktop, stops you from being able to use system restore, and in some cases (like mine) will even stop you from booting up in safe mode. It also has a random sound effect of a pig squealing that scares the shit out of you.
After doing some research, I found that all you have to do is right click on the fake anti-virus icon on your desktop and go to properties, location. I wrote down the location which was hidden within a folder, in a folder, in a folder, etc. I couldn't delete it, because it was in use, by the virus. However, I could move it to my desktop. This keeps the virus from being able to load when you reboot, and then I was finally free to cast it into the hellish flames of the recycling bin. Whew.
Things where finally getting back on track, when two days later I was lucky enough to get: The black screen of death. Son of a bitch. After trying to find an answer for several days to no avail, I finally found the only solution that would work in my case...wipe the hardrive and re-install Windows. All my scripts, all my data, GONE. All because I was too lazy to make a backup. Anyways, as long as my computer was in working order I didn't care less at the moment. So, I boot up the computer and shazaam! Everything works fine, bar a very desolate desktop.
That is of course, until I realize that there's no internet. After another few days of searching around on a friends computer I realized I had to go to the Toshiba site, enter in the model no. and re-download the Wireless internet drivers. I put them on a USB, transferred to my computer and finally.......I am free.

I'm on a lucky streak lately. I started a intership with the lawyer of my city's city council. I do nothing almost all afternoon, get the obligatory hours that I need for college and a 500 bucks salary. And today my mom bought me a new cellphone, finally I can get rid of my 5+ years old piece of crap, the screen didn't even have colors ffs. It's been a great week.

And I'm happy to announce that as of this evening I'm welcoming a new member to the family. A-rod.

@Smiley
Is that some sort of pug mix? It has those darker features that most pugs have, but I can tell based on how unsquished the nose is, it definitely isn't an actual pug.
I always wanted a pug; they are most amusing to me. I actually plan on getting one after the cats die...Three pets is just too many for me to take care of.sigpic

While playing Death Toll Beta on L4d2 in a pub game and the guys who I was playing with...really hurt to play with. Didn't watch their backs, wasted grenades, gas cans, and health kits.
It was a chore to play with them...The in the finale not to my surprise, they wasted all the kids, grenades and pills and were all in the red and limping and first guy got jockeyed. Second and third guys limped towards the rescue boat and ignored him.
I was tired of this shit, I only had 5 rounds left in my auto shotgun and the game was almost over.
I normally ignore this shit when it happens and just try to have fun but tonight felt different. I debated shotgunning these guys and hopping onto the boat earlier and decided against it, and I didn't want to be a griefer.
The at the last second I got impulsive and used my 5 rounds and unloaded into them both killing them and making me the only survivor of the campaign.
And it felt damn good. 30 minutes of damn near babysitting them, being shot up by them(when I wasn't moving either) and watching them hog all the health kits, pills, and grenades took its toll I guess.Last edited by Wrathborne; 09-20-2011, 03:56 AM.
