I might as well just hit the whole 9 season boxset. Will take me a while to save up though.

5 minutes of Skinner? No mention of Scully's child? No Lone Gunmen, Dogget or Reyes?
And a fucking missing child and a main plot with no real (let's be honest) supernatural goings on?
Mad disappointment.
And the ending? I couldn't have given less of a shit about the bastard child and his operation if they paid me. It's not like we're ever going to know if it's successful or not anyway. Pssh.
Just fuck off. Terrible movie.

It seems a lot of people are missing the point that this movie is not related to the mythology storylines of the TV series, it's a standalone horror movie, hence no mention of Scully's kid, no Lone Gunmen (who are dead anyway), and no Dogget or Reyes

Were the Gunmen killed? My knowledge of later X-Files is somewhat woeful, only saw little bits of the last two seasons...but i thought the Gunmen were in the final episode?
And regardless of whether it fits with the mythology or not, it's still not a good film by itself anyway.
The thing is, when you think X-Files, you think of freaks. You think aliens, shapeshifters, freaks like Eugene Tombs (sp?)...psychics are amongst the last things you'd think of. Carter should've thought about this before putting pen to paper and soiling the series' name long after it's death.

I wanted to go see this movie back in July. None of my friends wanted to go with me because they didn't like X-files. I also heard that the film was boring and had little to do with aliens or the concepts of the show itself. I still haven't seen it though LOL, and it's because of lazy fans like me that this movie bombed.
